ered for over 900 years to pray, worship, learn, reflect and take action. And in early 2023, our building will be open in the day, during the week - home to an Exhibition Space and Froth & Rind café. Whatever your background, and wherever you are on the journey of faith, we invite you to join us for any of our weekly services (Sundays at 9am and 10.30am, Wednesdays at 7.30pm and Morning Prayer on weekdays at 8.30am). We are part of the Church of England, the Diocese of Chelmsford and the worldwide Anglican Communion. You are always welcome at St Mary’s.

On Sunday 13th September, we will share Holy Communion at 9am followed by Morning Worship at 10.30am. Revd Vanessa Conant will preach and lead at both services.

At 10.30am, we will have supervised children’s groups in the Welcome Centre with a Baby Lounge in the South Vestry at both services. Our lectionary readings this week are Romans 14:1-12 and Matthew 18:21-35 – Jesus’ Parable of the Unmerciful Servant.

On Sunday 6th September, we’ll share Holy Communion at 9am and again at 10.30am, with Revd Jacintha Danaswamy presiding and Revd Vanessa Conant preaching at both services.

This Sunday, our 10.30am supervised children’s groups return, and if you haven’t yet registered your child, you can do so at stmaryswalthamstow.org/childrenandyouth.

Our lectionary readings for this Sunday are Isaiah 55:12-end and Matthew 8:23-27 – the story of Jesus calming the storm. This Sunday, Revd Vanessa Conant will also reflect on our congregation and collective calling to be a Christian presence in Walthamstow, extending the inclusive welcome of Christ to all and working to listen to and serve our community.

And then at 6pm, join us for an hour of sung worship led by our brilliant team of musicians and singers. We hope to see you this Sunday at St Mary’s!

Join us this evening (Wednesday 2nd September) at 7.30pm for Vespers – 40 minutes of stillness, with Holy Communion celebrated afterwards in the side chapel. Vespers is held on the first Wednesday of every month – a beautiful candlelit space in our ancient building where many have gathered over the years to practise contemplative prayer, explore faith or simply sit in silence. Whether you’re looking to deepen your prayer life or just need a quiet place to sit, please come along to Vespers – it would be wonderful to have you.
