Slavoj Žižek comes to London this October.

For this specially created 5x15 event, Žižek has selected more than 20 film clips and images that offer a window into his world. In conversation with Tim Marlow, Director of the Design Museum, he’ll use them as the starting point for an evening spanning cinema, s*x, politics, ideology, theology and the end of the world.

From Titanic and Casablanca to Lacan, Trump, revolution and propaganda, each selection opens up a different strand of Žižek’s thinking.

This event will not be livestreamed or released online. The only way to experience it is to be in the room.

We’re delighted to launch 5x15 Icons, a new series of online conversations with some of the world’s most influential thinkers and cultural figures.

For our first event, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Guns, Germs, and Steel Jared Diamond joins award-winning journalist Gillian Tett to mark the publication of his new book, Profits, Prophets, Coaches and Kings.
