St John's Leytonstone Welcome to St John's Leytonstone - a lively, diverse and welcoming church in the heart of the Leytonstone Community.

St John's is a prominent church in the high street in Leytonstone. We are a welcoming, family friendly, lively and diverse church, active in the local community with a range of worship styles. We aim to be a church where all ages feel welcome and fully involved. We have a monthly all-age family service (2nd Sunday of the month) and Children's groups at every other 10.30am service. Our services are

10.30am Main Sunday service with children's groups

12.15pm Lunchtime Holy Communion every Wednesday

Can you believe it’s already been a week!

We had a truly moving Good Friday service, journeying through the final moments of Jesus — from the Last Supper, to the Garden of Gethsemane, the trial before Pilate, and finally to the cross.

It was a powerful time of reflection and worship, reminding us of the depth of His love for us.

We then stepped out into our community for the Walk of the Cross, joined by our wonderful congregations across Leytonstone — walking together in unity, faith, and witness.

A meaningful day that brought us together in remembrance, faith, and hope. ❤️✝️

We gathered in the stillness of the early morning for our Easter Dawn Service at St John’s, beginning in the quiet darkness — just like the women at the tomb — and journeying together into the light of a new day, celebrating the joy of the Risen Jesus.

As the sun rose, so did our hearts in hope and praise, marking the victory of life over death. The morning continued with a wonderful time of fellowship, sharing breakfast together and celebrating the joy of Easter as a community.

He is risen indeed! Alleluia! ✨
