St John's Leytonstone Welcome to St John's Leytonstone - a lively, diverse and welcoming church in the heart of the Leytonstone Community.

St John's is a prominent church in the high street in Leytonstone. We are a welcoming, family friendly, lively and diverse church, active in the local community with a range of worship styles. We aim to be a church where all ages feel welcome and fully involved. We have a monthly all-age family service (2nd Sunday of the month) and Children's groups at every other 10.30am service. Our services are

10.30am Main Sunday service with children's groups

12.15pm Lunchtime Holy Communion every Wednesday

☀️ Summer at St. John’s is off to a fantastic start! What an incredible launch weekend! We loved welcoming so many of you to our packed Tower Tours, Ray’s fantastic DJ set, Andrea’s energetic Zumba session, and seeing families and friends relaxing on the deck chairs, while the kids played games and football.

It was wonderful to see our church grounds filled with laughter, fun, and community.

Join us again this Friday and Saturday, 12 till3, for another weekend of summer fun! Bring your family, invite your friends and come and enjoy all that’s happening at St. John’s.

We’ll be here every Friday and Saturday throughout August with plenty more activities and entertainment to come. Keep an eye on our social media for all the latest updates. We can’t wait to welcome you.

☀️Summer at St John's Leytonstone — returns for a second year and this year it is packed with activities🎪, fun and games for children, events for all ages and lots of taster sessions to try your hands at.

This Summer come down with your friends, families and meet your neighbours. We're opening the grounds of St John's every Friday and Saturday in August for people to play, unwind, have fun and enjoy different activities.

Climb up the church tower 🏛 and see the amazing sights, try your hands on the Organ or the Guitar, get some free acting classes and enjoy a live drama production🎪.

There'll be Multi-sports for the children⚽️🎖, singing classes and even a film weekender of classic movies.

End the month with a big party🥳 for all, with bouny castle🎡, fun in the wild, ice cream van and music🎶 to get you moving.

Today we celebrate the Patronal Festival of St John’s Church, Leytonstone, giving thanks for our patron saint, St John the Baptist.

Just as John faithfully pointed people to Jesus, we pray that St John’s continues to be a place that points our community towards God’s love, hope, and grace. We thank God for the blessing of this church, for all who worship here, and for the many ways it serves and supports the people of Leytonstone.

As we celebrate this special day, we pray that St John’s will continue to be a beacon of faith, welcome, and blessing in our community for generations to come.
