This new religious organisation will bring the best out of non-Orthodox Christianity and Judaism. UCCRS is intellectually modern and driven by scientific progress in science, including Theology and the Liberal Arts. Its doctrines are historically-critical of tradition, only allowing the best out of it, discarding the not so good. On the other hand, UCCRS clings to tradition in its Old Catholic for
m, regarding the form of worship and the importance of the aesthetic element: Beauty, alongside Truth (the pursuit of knowledge) and Good (the life of love and service). Accordingly, the religion will pursue excellence in religious art. The environment in which its prayer will take place will reflect the beauty of God, Creation and man-made contributions in architecture, sculpture, painting and music. Communal worship will be fully undertaken by a professional choir and musicians. The congregation will follow the ritual through the Mass and Divine Office books. These will be in Latin or Hebrew, with a parallel English version. The prayer books will reflect the Unitarian, Liberal-Jewish Theology of the congregation, even though for liturgical purposes it is rendered in classical languages. Services will be long, complex and fastidious, but pleasing to God. There will be WC facilities on hand, as well as a kitchen where hot drinks will be available for those who might need a break during the long services. The sermon will be thoroughly theological and will not last less than 20 minutes. UCCRS upon receipt of the necessary donations, will set up a temporary committee for the planting of the new religion. It will undertake the necessary arrangements for securing a temporary meeting room, as well as musician recruitment, management and theological advisory roles, assistant ministry and most importantly, the laying out of the text of our modern Latin Mass, tenets of belief and associated prayers. Here the Hebrew language will rule the roost. If you´re interested in helping in any way to renew God´s worship and make it pleasing to Him in this modern age and city, let me know. Laus Deo.
