UKIM is one of the oldest nationwide Islamic organizations in the UK.

Formed in December 1962, UK Islamic Mission (UKIM) is an organisation that serves humanity, nationally and internationally. Over the years, UK Islamic Mission, in order to contribute in building a good society, gradually developed its core services for the community that includes establishing a network of mosques and Islamic schools; engaging in interfaith activities, and producing literature in E

nglish. UKIM has also put efforts to develop relief and welfare programmes in the UK and overseas that are aimed at helping people and alleviating their suffering. In addition to its own charity work, UKIM raises funds to support the work of mainstream charities. UK Islamic Mission has enhanced its engagement with people of other faiths through organising inter-faith events. Therefore, fellow non-Muslims are encouraged to visit our centres to discuss Islam over tea/coffee or dinner in order to promote and encourage mutual appreciation and friendly relations between Muslims and non-Muslims. The key beneficiaries of this wide ranging work are primarily the members of the Muslim community (men, women and children), local schools, hospitals, prisons, local authorities, charities, and the general public. Through its work, UK Islamic Mission aspires to see all citizens, irrespective of their colour, background, ethnicity, economic class and political affiliation, to live in dignity and peace with each other. This is because Islam aims to break the shackles that disunite human beings and restores dignity for all people. This was the mission of all the messengers of God and this is the mission that UKIM is delivering to the best of its ability and resources.

On 24 August 2026, the UKIM Summer Skydiving Challenge 2026 commenced with our dedicated volunteers taking to the skies in support of the UKIM Orphans Appeal. 💙🤲

A huge congratulations to Majid Mahmood and Sajid Mehmood, two brothers from London, and Sean from South London, for successfully completing the challenge and raising vital funds to support vulnerable orphan children. 🌍❤️

May Allah ﷻ accept their efforts and reward everyone who has supported this amazing cause. JazakAllah Khair! 🤲

Inter Faith Week in November 2026 provides an excellent opportunity to engage with the wider community, as people from different faiths (and of none) are generally more open to dialogue and community activities during this period. It also offers us with a wonderful occasion to share our beliefs & practices with our neighbours, work and school/college colleagues, and indeed the society as a whole.

At this stage, we are looking for brothers and sisters who would like to be involved in this unique occasion. Involvement can take various forms – from being part of our national strategy team to organising an activity in your locality. You may wish to take a front seat role such as being on local/regional or national media, or a backseat role, for example, being the powerhouse in realising publicity and promotional material to support the week.
