What does 𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘦 mean to you?

The Bible defines it as more than just the absence of conflict, but as a state of completeness. The Hebrew word ‘shalom’ translates to ‘making something whole’.

In this way, Biblical peace is more than just the absence of conflict; it is taking action to restore a broken situation.

At ICoHS, we want to be peace-makers, not just peace-keepers. We want to bravely pursue ‘shalom’ for the people of the Holy Land through action, advocacy and awareness.

Yesterday was , and this year’s theme is about making mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority. A 2008 study published in the Social Science and Medicine journal showed that around half of Palestinian children aged 6-12 face challenges with their mental health. At ICoHS we believe all young people should have access to the resources they need to thrive. Our education and medical projects exist to empower and protect minority communities in the , as we advocate for those who need it most.
