FR ANTONIO WRITES: KEYS OPEN DOORS 🔑🚪
This Sunday’s Gospel reminds us of something beautiful: Jesus gave Peter, and his successors, the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.
Keys are made to open doors. 🚪🔑 The mission of the Church is to help open the way to God for everyone — todos, todos, todos! Everyone is welcome, without exception. ❤️
As we pray for our Holy Father and the Church, let us also remember that we are called to open the doors of our churches and our hearts to others.
🙏 Lord, help us to open doors, welcome everyone, and lead people closer to You.
💙 WHY IS BLUE MARY’S COLOUR?
Have you ever wondered why Mary is so often shown wearing blue?
Blue has a beautiful history and deep spiritual meaning. In ancient times, the finest blue pigment came from the rare stone lapis lazuli and was even more expensive than gold. Artists therefore used it for the most important figures — especially Mary, showing her honour and dignity.
Blue also reminds us of the sky and heaven. It points to Mary’s special role in bringing us closer to God. It has become a symbol of purity, peace, hope and grace. 💙
So when we see Mary dressed in blue, we can be reminded of her loving invitation: look to her Son, Jesus, and draw closer to heaven. 🙏
🌿 SEASON OF CREATION
The Season of Creation begins on 1 September, the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation.
This year’s theme is “Living Water” — reminding us of the life-giving power of water and our responsibility to care for God’s beautiful creation.
Let us pray and act for the protection and renewal of our common home. 🌍💧

🏠 Our Lady of Fatima Statue
Kim Danson and family are hosting Our Lady of Fatima until 6 September. Families can also welcome the statue into their homes for a week or more and pray the Rosary together.
