Day 24

We all love gifts! Especially this time of year .. they often come packaged in all shapes and sizes with beautiful wrapping paper with perhaps bows and tags… half of the excitement in receiving a gift like this is not knowing what it is inside ! 🎁

God sent His son … a gift to us …
His arrival wasn’t in the most luxury of surroundings .. but when we fully accept this gift we discover what this really means to us in life …

A king , A Saviour who is called..

Day 23

When Mary received news that her whole life was about to change, she went straight to her cousin Elizabeth’s house. I often wonder what the two women talked about during those three months, how each of them prepared for all that was to come. One thing is clear, that when God is birthing something new in us, he provides safe people and safe places. Who are the Elizabeths that God has put in your life? Give God thanks for them today.

Day 22

This Christmas season can feel overwhelming, full of noise, busyness, and expectations. But Mary's example invites us to slow down. To treasure the small, sacred moments. To ponder God's presence in our lives, even when we don't understand the full picture.
What if we followed Mary's lead this Christmas? What if we created space to simply be still, to reflect, and to hold close the mystery and wonder of God with us.

Day 21

In Luke chapter 1, we read the moment when the angel Gabriel appears to Mary and tells her she will give birth to the Son of God.
The questions that must have been going through her mind in those moments.. And she asks the question how it could be possible?

Gabriel’s reply in verse 37 is a reminder to us all today:
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
Or, as some translations say,
“For no word from God will ever fail.”

In the natural, you may not see a way forward or have a solution. You may even be facing problem this alone .. but take this as a reminder today that we have a God of the supernatural and nothing is too difficult or impossible for Him - Nothing!!! so whatever you are facing know that you aren’t facing it alone and He is able!!!

Day 20

That first Christmas didn't look how anyone expected it to. No one expected a virgin to give birth to the Messiah. Everyone expected the coming King to be born in a palace, surrounded by royalty. No one expected Him to be born in a manger, surrounded by animals.
Christmas might not look how you expected it to this year either. But Matthew 1:23 reminds us that God is with us. God with us in the mess, God with us when life is difficult and troubled, God with us in both the expected and the unexpected. No matter what this season holds, Immanuel, God with us, is the greatest gift we could ever receive.

Day 19

We read in scripture that Angels are mobilised by God with a clear mission. Gabriel was sent as a messenger to both Zechariah & Mary- and what a message he bought! God continues to mobilise his angels for you & I even today. Over this season don’t miss a heavenly messenger from the Lord.
