Why Does the Lord Jesus Judge Man When He Returns? How Will He Judge Man?

On Sunday, I went over to Xiangguang’s home and told her what confused me. Sister Xiangguang fellowshiped with me about her understanding and knowledge.

Xiangguang: I used to be puzzled about it, too. But through the discussion and fellowship with brothers and sisters, I now have some understanding and knowledge about this issue. We all know that at the end of the Age of Law, the corruption of us humans became deeper and deeper, to the extent that all people couldn’t hold to God’s laws and were in danger of being convicted by law and sentenced to death. In order to save mankind, in the Age of Grace, God was incarnated as the Lord Jesus to do the stage of work of redemption. Thus, our sins can be forgiven by confessing and repenting, we’re no longer at risk of being condemned or put to death by law, and we have the qualification to return before God, pray to Him and enjoy His grace and blessings. This is the true meaning of the redemption work. However, although we are pardoned of our sins by accepting the Lord as our Savior, we still commit sins, leading a life of sinning in the day and confessing at night. This is undeniable. Take me for example: Since I believed in the Lord Jesus, I have had some change in my conduct, not hitting or cursing others, not taking advantage of others, and not doing things that are clearly bad. However, I couldn’t obey God when losing out on my fleshly interests or losing face and position. Especially in times of bitterness and trial, I could still misunderstand and blame God, and could even distance myself from God and betray God. Through these manifestations, I see that though I have been forgiven my sins, I’m not free of sin but still often commit sins. Look at the people around us, the church friends, co-workers, preachers, pastors and elders. They also always violate the Lord’s teachings while following Him, give in to their fleshly desires to sin, tell lies, deceive others, seek fame and fortune, and so on. This shows that our sinful nature still takes root deep inside of us. If our corrupt disposition is not resolved and we can’t be free of sin and achieve purification, we are not qualified to be directly raised into the kingdom of heaven. Jehovah God said: “You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy” (Leviticus 11:45), and the Bible records: “Holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14). These two verses show us that we are not fit to see the Lord unless we escape from our corrupt disposition and sinful nature. So, we have to resolve our own satanic corrupt disposition, break free of sin and receive cleansing before we are qualified to be saved into the kingdom of heaven.

We cannot break free from sin and achieve purification by practicing self-control and patience; rather, we need God Himself to do a stage of work of judging and cleansing man. This is because what the Lord Jesus did in the Age of Grace is redemption work. Although our sins are forgiven, our corrupt disposition and sinful nature are not. That is to say, the Lord Jesus only did the redemption work rather than the work of eradicating sin. Only God’s judgment work of the last days can eradicate sin. There are more than 200 places in the Bible that prophesy that God will return to do the judgment work in the last days, such as: “Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come” (Revelation 14:7). “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries” (Hebrews 10:26–27). “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God” (1 Peter 4:17). And so on. From these verses, we can see that in the last days, God will return to carry out the work of judgment beginning from the house of God to resolve the problem of us being controlled and bound by sin and the root of our sins so that we can completely escape sin and be saved into God’s kingdom.

Li Li: Thank the Lord. Today, I finally know that the Lord Jesus came to do the redemption work and absolved our sins instead of our corrupt disposition and sinful nature. To be cleansed, we must wait for the Lord to return to do the judgment work of the last days. Only when we have broken free from sin and achieved purification through God’s judgment will we qualify to be raised into His kingdom. Then, how will God do the judgment work in the last days? Please fellowship more with me.

Xiangguang: As to how God does the judgment work in the last days, there are also a lot of prophecies in the Bible. Below we’ll take several examples: “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come” (John 16:12–13). “And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejects me, and receives not my words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:47–48). “And has given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man” (John 5:27). “For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son” (John 5:22). These verses say that in the last days “the Spirit of truth” will come, and also mention “the Son” and “the Son of man.” Since only God is truth, Christ is truth, these words refer to none other than Christ in the flesh. This shows that in the last days God is incarnated in the flesh as the Son of man to appear and work, expresses truth to do the work of judgment using the identity of Christ. All those that can recognize God’s voice when hearing His utterances are the wise virgins. We should be the wise virgins and accept the judgment work God carries out. When we, by experiencing God’s judgment in the last days, have cast away our satanic corrupt dispositions such as arrogance, deceitfulness and fighting for fame and fortune, can submit to God instead of misunderstanding or complaining about Him in any circumstances or things incompatible with our notions, can never betray God, and can totally live by God’s words, we will have achieved purification and salvation and be able to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Meanwhile, through God’s work of judgment, the final outcome of each type of person is revealed. Good shall return to good, evil shall return to evil, and man shall be classified according to kind. Then God will bring down the great disasters and start to reward good and punish evil. Those who go through God’s judgment work and are cleansed and made perfect will survive through God’s salvation. But those who can’t receive God’s work of judgment will fall in the disasters and be punished. This is the judgment work God does in the last days, precisely the great white throne judgment prophesied in Revelation in the Bible.

Li Li: Thank the Lord. You said that God incarnate expresses the truth to do the work of judgment in the last days. This is completely in line with the prophecies in the Bible. When God comes to express the truth and do the work of judgment, He will certainly utter words. This reminds me of the prophecy in Revelation: “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches” (Revelation 2:7). Now is the critical time for welcoming the Lord’s appearance and work. I must listen out for what the Holy Spirit says to the churches in case I miss God’s work of judgment in the last days and the chance of going with the Lord to the feast.

When the Lord Jesus returns to do the work of judgment, He will free us from sin and cleanse us through judgment. Then we’ll be raptured into God’s kingdom.

What Is Sin and What Sins Do We Have?
Why Do People Whose Sins Are Forgiven Still Sin?
How Can We Shake Off the Shackles of Sin?
In recent years, disasters across the globe have grown in scale. Earthquakes, pestilences, famines, floods, insect plagues have occurred frequently. A lot of brothers and sisters believe that the Lord has returned and they are longing to be raptured into the kingdom of heaven. However, there are many who are feeling distressed because of living in sin. Especially when thinking of this Bible verse, “You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy” (Leviticus 11:45), they become concerned about being abandoned by the Lord due to frequently sinning. Then why are we still always bound by sin despite having our sins forgiven through our faith in the Lord? How exactly can we escape the bo***ge of sin? Today, we will fellowship on these questions.

What Is Sin and What Sins Do We Have?
In order to resolve our problem of committing sins, we must first know what sin is and what sins we still have. At the mention of sin, we may very easily think of this verse recorded in the Bible, “Whoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law” (1 John 3:4). Like homicide, arson, robbery, theft, idolatry, and so on, these are visible sins which consist of lawlessness. Besides these, there are invisible sins in our thoughts. For example, the Lord Jesus said, “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies” (Matthew 15:18–19). He also said, “That whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart” (Matthew 5:28). And the Bible also says, “Whoever hates his brother is a murderer” (1 John 3:15). From these verses we can know that be it behavioral sin or sin within our hearts, all the thoughts and actions that go against God’s words and the truth and that cause us to rebel against and resist God are called sin by God.

Comparing this to ourselves, we will find that we are actually full of sin. For example, once our family do things out of line with our views, we cannot help but get angry at them; when we see other people who are better than us, we feel jealous of them; in things that affect our personal interests, we can’t stop ourselves from lying and deceiving; when others say things that cause us to lose face, we start to feel prejudiced against them and are incapable of practicing tolerance or patience; during times of illness, natural or man-made disasters, tribulations and trials, we blame God for not protecting us. There are many such examples. In short, whether it is behavioral sin or sin in our thoughts, as long as we can still sin and rebel against God, we are unqualified to enter the heavenly kingdom. If we do not resolve these problems quickly, our sinning and resisting God will lead to death. Just as God says, “Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the son stays ever” (John 8:34–35), “The soul that sins, it shall die” (Ezekiel 18:20).

Why Do People Whose Sins Are Forgiven Still Sin?
Why do we still sin involuntarily when we have accepted the Lord’s redemption and had our sins absolved? God has spoken very clearly about this. Let’s read God’s words together. God says, “At the time, Jesus’ work was the work to redeem all mankind. The sins of all who believed in Him were forgiven; as long as you believed in Him, He would redeem you; if you believed in Him, you were no longer a sinner, you were relieved of your sins. This is what it meant to be saved, and to be justified by faith. Yet in those who believed, there remained that which was rebellious and opposed God, and which still had to be slowly removed. Salvation did not mean man had been completely gained by Jesus, but that man was no longer of sin, that he had been forgiven his sins. Provided you believed, you would never more be of sin.” “Before man was redeemed, many of Satan’s poisons had already been planted within him and, after thousands of years of being corrupted by Satan, he has within him an established nature that resists God. Therefore, when man has been redeemed, it is nothing more than a case of redemption in which man is bought at a high price, but the poisonous nature within him has not been eliminated. Man that is so defiled must undergo a change before becoming worthy to serve God.”

From God’s words we can understand that in the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus did the work of redemption. When we receive the Lord’s salvation, we are absolved of our sins, are no longer subject to the condemnation and punishment of the Law, can pray directly to the Lord, and share in His abundant grace and truth. But the Lord never absolved us of our sinful nature. When the Lord Jesus appeared to carry out His work, He showed people the way of repentance according to their stature. For example, the Lord Jesus required us to confess and repent, love others as ourselves, forgive others seventy times seven times, bear our own cross and follow the Lord, and so on. These are a few rudimentary truths that help us have some change in our behavior. After practicing them, we can only have our external behavior somewhat changed. However, due to Satan’s corruption, our nature has become Satan’s nature and is becoming increasingly arrogant and conceited, crooked and crafty, selfish and contemptible, wicked and greedy, and so on. For example, we always want to compel others to do as we want, and when they act in a way that is at odds with our own ideas, we want to lose our temper—this is being under the control of an arrogant nature. In addition, dominated by our own crafty nature, we tell lies and deceive others in order to protect our own interests. And so on. From all this we can see that without resolving our sinful and corrupt nature, even though our sins have been forgiven, we still involuntarily sin and resist God and that relying on our own willpower and self-restraint is of no use. Just as Paul said, “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwells no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not” (Romans 7:18). With this fellowship, I believe we now have some understanding of why we still commit sins despite having our sins forgiven. Then, I will share fellowship on the way to be free from sin.

How Can We Shake Off the Shackles of Sin?
We humans don’t have the ability to overcome sin nor can we resolve the issue of our sinfulness. Thus, the Lord Jesus promised us that He would return to work to purify and save us. Just as the Bible says, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and to them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin to salvation” (Hebrews 9:28). The Lord Jesus also said, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will show you things to come” (John 16:12–13). “He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:48). And also John 17:17 says, “Sanctify them through Your truth: Your word is truth.” From these verses it can be seen that the Lord will return to express many truths, use His words to judge our sins, and enable us to thoroughly cast off the bonds of sin and be cleansed and transformed. If we accept the Lord’s work of judgment when He returns, then we will have hope of resolving our sinful satanic nature.

So how will the returned Lord judge and cleanse people? God’s words say, “In the last days, Christ uses a variety of truths to teach man, to expose the substance of man, and to dissect the words and deeds of man. These words comprise various truths, such as man’s duty, how man should obey God, how man should be loyal to God, how man ought to live out normal humanity, as well as the wisdom and the disposition of God, and so on. These words are all directed at the substance of man and his corrupt disposition. In particular, the words that expose how man spurns God are spoken in regard to how man is an embodiment of Satan, and an enemy force against God. In undertaking His work of judgment, God does not simply make clear the nature of man with a few words; He exposes, deals with, and prunes over the long term. These methods of exposure, dealing, and pruning cannot be substituted with ordinary words, but with the truth of which man is utterly bereft. Only methods such as these can be called judgment; only through judgment of this kind can man be subdued and thoroughly convinced into submission to God, and moreover gain true knowledge of God. What the work of judgment brings about is man’s understanding of the true face of God and the truth about his own rebelliousness. The work of judgment allows man to gain much understanding of the will of God, of the purpose of God’s work, and of the mysteries that are incomprehensible to him. It also allows man to recognize and know his corrupt essence and the roots of his corruption, as well as to discover the ugliness of man. These effects are all brought about by the work of judgment, for the essence of this work is actually the work of opening up the truth, the way, and the life of God to all those who have faith in Him. This work is the work of judgment done by God.” “God has many means of perfecting man. He employs all manner of environments to deal with the corrupt disposition of man, and uses various things to lay man bare; in one regard, He deals with man, in another He lays man bare, and in another He reveals man, digging out and revealing the ‘mysteries’ in the depths of man’s heart, and showing man his nature by revealing many of his states. God perfects man through many methods—through revelation, through dealing with man, through man’s refinement, and chastisement—so that man may know that God is practical.”

These words help us understand that in the last days, God expresses a variety of aspects of the truth to do the work of judgment. God exposes our various corrupt dispositions hidden deep within our hearts and our states of disobeying and resisting Him, so that we are able to reflect on and acknowledge our God-resisting satanic nature and generate a heart of regret. Meanwhile, God also tells us His will and points out to us the ways of practice, such as how to be loyal to God, what true obedience to God is, how to revere God and shun evil, how to live out normal humanity, how to achieve a transformation in our life disposition through pursuit, who will be approved and saved by God, and who will be detested and eliminated by God, etc. All those who accept God’s work of judgment of the last days will have some understanding of the wisdom of God’s work, God’s righteous disposition, and God’s intention to save people, and thus develop a heart of reverence for God, start to hate their corruption, and have the resolution to practice the truth and satisfy God. Besides, while God expresses His words to judge us during His work of judgment in the last days, He also prepares a variety of circumstances and events that don’t fit with our notions to prune, deal with, try, and refine us. In these environments, our rebelliousness and defiance will be exposed. Through the revelation of God’s words and the facts, we will come to see ever more clearly the reality of our corruption by Satan, and realize that if we don’t forsake our flesh and practice the truth, we will end up being cursed by God and cast down to hell. Through repeated experiences of God’s work of judgment, whether we act sinfully or reveal the corrupt thoughts in our minds, we will no longer repent in word only and we will no longer rely on ourselves to restrain our behavior, but instead we will be able to, from our heart, truly hate ourselves and become willing to betray ourselves and allow God’s words to become the principles of our actions and words. This way, unbeknownst to us, our life dispositions will undergo a change and we will gradually break away from the depraved condition of sinning in the day and confessing at night, and have some true obedience toward God. From all this we can see that God’s judgment work of the last days through expressing the truth is very practical and is just what we corrupt human beings need and it is also God’s greatest salvation for us.

At this point in our fellowship, we can understand that without experiencing God’s judgment in the last days, we will never truly recognize the truth of our corruption or know God’s righteous disposition and develop a heart of reverence for God, and thus, we will never free ourselves from the bonds of sin. Only by undergoing God’s judgment and cleansing will we have the chance to throw off our corrupt dispositions, and finally be able to revere God and shun evil, become the people who love, obey, and worship God, and live out the likeness of a true human being to glorify and testify God. Only then will we be qualified to enter the heavenly kingdom and receive God’s blessings and promises. Now we know that when the Lord returns, He will express many truths and will use the truth to judge and cleanse us. So at this critical moment of receiving the Lord, we should humbly seek when we hear someone testify that the Lord has returned, has issued the truth and is doing the judgment work. The Lord Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me” (John 10:27). If we focus on hearing God’s voice, we will be able to recognize it from God’s words and welcome the Lord’s return. This way, we will have the opportunity to accept the judgment and purification of Christ of the last days, thoroughly cast off the bonds of sin, and become people who truly submit to and revere God.

My final work is not only for the sake of punishing man, but also for the sake of arranging the destination of man. Moreover, it is so that all people may acknowledge My deeds and actions. I want each and every person to see that all I have done is right, and that all I have done is an expression of My disposition. It is not man’s doing, much less nature, that brought forth mankind, but I, who nourish every living being in creation. Without My existence, mankind will only perish and suffer the scourge of calamity. No human being will ever again see the beauteous sun and moon, or the verdant world; mankind shall encounter only the frigid night and the inexorable valley of the shadow of death. I am mankind’s only salvation. I am mankind’s only hope and, even more, I am He on whom the existence of all mankind rests. Without Me, mankind will immediately come to a standstill. Without Me, mankind will suffer catastrophe and be trampled underfoot by all manner of ghosts, though no one takes heed of Me.

I shall fill the empyrean with the manifestations of My actions and make everything on earth fall prostrate under My power, thus implementing My plan for “global unity” and bringing this one wish of Mine to fruition, so that humanity will no longer “roam about” on the face of the earth, but find a suitable destination without delay. I take thought for the human race in every way, making it so that all mankind will soon come to live in a land of peace and happiness, so that the days of their lives will no longer be sad and desolate, and so that My plan will not come to naught upon the earth. Because man exists there, I shall build My nation upon the earth, for a part of the manifestation of My glory is upon the earth. In heaven above, I shall set My city aright and so make everything new above and below. I shall render all that exists above and below heaven into one unity, so that all things on earth will be united with all that is in heaven. This is My plan; it is what I shall accomplish in the final age—let no one interfere with this part of My work!

I stand by what I say, and what I stand by I always bring to completion, and no one can change this—it is absolute. Whether they are words I have said in the past or words I will say in the future, I will make them all come true, one by one, and allow all of mankind to see them come true. This is the principle behind My words and work. … Of everything that occurs in the universe, there is nothing in which I do not have the final say. Is there anything that is not in My hands? Whatever I say is done, and who among human beings can change My mind? Could it be the covenant I made on the earth? Nothing can hinder My plan from going forward; I am ever present in My work as well as in the plan of My management. Who among human beings can put his hand in to meddle? Is it not I who have personally made these arrangements? Entering into this realm today does not stray outside My plan or what I have foreseen; it was all determined by Me long ago. Who among you can fathom this step of My plan? My people will assuredly listen to My voice, and each and every one of those who sincerely love Me shall assuredly return before My throne.

By My Praying and Relying on God, My Daughter’s Disease Was Miraculously Cured
May 22, 2019
By Jingxin
After two years since my husband and I got married, we still couldn’t have a child, and only after all kinds of treatments did I get pregnant. After my daughter was born, her constitution was very bad. Besides, at that time it was winter and the weather was bitterly cold, so she caught a cold. In the beginning, she just had tiny coughs, but one evening a few days later, her cough got worse and worse. When she was coughing, she was moving her arms, and her breathing was quick and shallow, which seemed that the next moment she would be unable to catch her breath. I immediately became so scared that I started to panic. I thought, “It has been difficult for me to have this child. If something happens to her, how will I live?” Then I called my mother-in-law and asked her to find a doctor.

Over 10:00 p.m., the doctor came. After seeing my daughter’s condition, he said to me seriously, “Your child’s treatment can’t be delayed any longer. I suspect there is inflammation of the lung. You’d better take her to the county hospital.” After the doctor left, I helplessly watched how my daughter was suffering and all I could do was feel anxious and worried.

The next day, my mother came to my house. She fellowshiped to me, “Jingxin, we believe in God now, and so we should learn to pray to God and rely on God in everything. God is almighty and the child’s life and death are in God’s hands….” Before she could finish her words, I interrupted her and replied without getting too serious, “I get it.” But though I knew I should pray to God and rely on God when things happened to me, when I saw my daughter was so ill, I no longer had a heart that relied on God but instead just believed doctors would cure my daughter’s illness.

Therefore, my husband and I hurried to take our daughter to the county hospital by bus. When we got there, a doctor took an X-ray for my daughter. After seeing the X-ray, he asked us very seriously, “How long has your daughter been coughing?” I answered, “A week.” Hearing this, he shook his head and said, “She is too small and her treatment has been delayed for so many days. Now there is inflammation of both her lungs. Her condition is very serious. Our equipment at this hospital is not sufficient. I advise you to go to the municipal hospital.” What the doctor said caused me to feel extremely scared and I thought, “My daughter was only born over ten days ago. Could it be that I will lose her?” My heart was in agony as if it was tied in knots.

Then, we went straight to a pretty well-known hospital. Full of confidence, we walked into it and found an attending doctor. He looked at the results of my daughter’s examination, then directly refused us and said, “The best time for treatment has been missed because of your long delay, so it’s not easy to cure her illness. She is so small. You might as well go to other hospitals.” I was unwilling to give up and so asked him, “Can’t such a big hospital treat my daughter?” He answered, “Sorry. You’d better go to other hospitals. Don’t delay anymore!” For a moment, I felt like the sky was falling, and thought, “Who exactly can save my daughter?” But I still didn’t want to give up, so we went to one hospital after another. However, all of the doctors said that my daughter was too small, that they had never seen such a small child contracting such a serious lung disease, and that they really were powerless. Their words were the same as death sentences for my daughter. I became desperate. I dragged my heavy body, cradled my daughter I would lose at any time, and walked out of the last hospital step by step with my husband …

In the bitterly cold winter weather, we stood at the side of the road and waited for a taxi. Seeing everything before my eyes blankly, I recalled what had happened in the hospitals. Sorrow and distress were a weight so oppressive I could barely stand up. I thought, “Could it be that my daughter could only live for over ten days in this world? Why couldn’t those pretty well-known hospitals and famous and experienced doctors treat my daughter?” Thinking of this, I really wanted to cry loudly. Just as I was desperate and helpless, I remembered what my mother said before, “God is almighty. No matter what we encounter, we must rely on God and pray to God. As long as we sincerely rely on God, God will open a way for us.” I suddenly felt that I found a support. I prayed to God in my heart remorsefully, “O God! I am unworthy to come before You. Although I’ve believed in You for several months, I never truly believed in Your rule over the fate of mankind. When I encountered things, I had no faith to rely on You. When my daughter was sick, all I could think about was finding doctors, but I faced setback after setback. God! Now I’m willing to entrust my daughter’s illness to You. I am not worthy of making requests of You. No matter whether my daughter’s illness will be cured or not, I will obey Your orchestrations and arrangements without complaints….” After I finished praying, my heart calmed down a lot.

Then I remembered a passage of God’s words, “Almighty God, the Head of all things, wields His kingly power from His throne. He rules over the universe and all things, and He is in the act of guiding us on the whole earth. We shall at every moment be close to Him, and come before Him in quietness, never missing a single moment, and with lessons for us to learn at all times. Everything, from the surrounding environment to people, affairs, and things, all exist by permission of His throne. Do not on any account let grievances arise in your heart, or God will not bestow His grace upon you. When sickness befalls, this is God’s love, and surely His kind intentions are harbored within. Though your body may undergo a bit of suffering, entertain no ideas from Satan. Praise God in the midst of illness and enjoy God in the midst of your praise. Do not lose heart in the face of illness, keep seeking again and again and do not give up, and God will illuminate you with His light. How was Job’s faith? Almighty God is an all-powerful physician! To dwell in sickness is to be sick, but to dwell in the spirit is to be well. So long as you still have one breath, God will not let you die.” God’s words led me to realize: Everything is in God’s hands. When we encounter an issue, as long as we can be quiet before God, pray to Him, and seek His guidance, He will open a way for us. At that time, Job lost all of his immense wealth, all his children died, and he even had boils all over his body, but he remained full of faith in God, praised God’s holy name, and thus gained even greater blessings from God. However, when this illness befell my daughter, even though my mother fellowshiped with me and asked me to pray to and rely on God more, I didn’t listen; I had no faith to rely on God but instead could only think of depending on doctors. The facts had revealed how little my faith in God was. I had no place for God at all in my heart. Now, I wished to imitate Job, and sincerely entrusted my daughter to God. No matter whether her illness would be cured, I would submit to God’s orchestrations and arrangements, and not blame God. After thinking of all this, I was no longer so worried about my daughter’s illness, and my heart was liberated and calm somewhat.

This was when my husband’s cell phone rang. After answering it, he said to me, “Let’s go to The Fifth Hospital. Although it is not well-known, our brother just now advised us to try it.” After we got there, a doctor asked my daughter’s condition and then admitted her. At that moment, I kept giving thanks to God in my heart, and couldn’t stop the tears of gratitude from falling down my face. I knew clearly that God had opened the way for us. Just as God’s words say, “My word is good medicine that cures all manner of illnesses. As long as you are willing to come before Me, I will heal you and allow you to see My omnipotence, My wondrous deeds….” “It is God’s authority and God’s mind that give rise to these laws, which shift and change according to His thoughts….” God is the Creator, and is the source of all life. God’s hands arrange everything, and His words are the guiding lights in my daily life. I thought of how I had gone from hospital to hospital these last over ten days, and how when the doctors gave my daughter death sentences and I had no path forward, God provided me with a way out. Through my actual experiences, I came to have some insight into and appreciation of God’s almightiness, sovereignty, and wonderful deeds. I wished only to come around to God, in the following days equip myself with God’s words diligently, practice and experience God’s words, use my experiences to bear witness to God’s almightiness and wonderful deeds for even more people, and repay God’s love!

After we completed the formalities for my daughter’s admission to hospital and got back into the ward, the others in the same ward asked about my daughter’s illness, and I told them how we had visited doctors. After hearing what I said, they all exclaimed that my daughter was saved from such serious illness and that she was extremely lucky. But I knew that it was God’s almightiness and sovereignty.

My daughter’s illness gradually got better and eight days later she was discharged. Before we left, the doctor told us, “You must pay attention to keep your daughter warm. She’s too small and moreover got pneumonia, so it’s very possible that she will suffer from the after-effects. If so, once she catches a cold, this condition will recur.” Hearing this, my heart suddenly clenched and I thought, “Why will her condition recur? Hasn’t she been cured?” When I started to feel worried and afraid once again, I remembered my experiences of seeking medical treatment along this path. I thought to myself, “At that time my daughter’s condition was so serious that every pretty well-known hospital refused to take her. It was God who practically put people, events and things into play to allow my daughter to be cured in this little known hospital. Isn’t this God’s almightiness? All things are in the hands of God. Whether my daughter’s condition will recur and how many sufferings she should encounter are beyond my control, because her whole life is ruled over by God.” After realizing all this, I silently prayed to God in my heart, “O God! No matter whether my daughter’s condition will recur, I will learn to rely on You and obey Your sovereignty and arrangements. I’m willing to pray to You and entrust my daughter’s condition to You.” After praying, I felt much calmer.

Afterward, my daughter gradually recovered, and became like the healthy children of the same age, and no longer suffered the torment of the illness. Through this, I actually saw God’s almightiness and sovereignty, and from the bottom of my heart, I realized more and more the true meaning of God’s words, “One arrives at certainty about God through experience.” Thank God
