*Break Your Fast the Beloved Way ﷺ*

Anas bin Malik *رضي الله عنه* reports:

"Rasúlullãh *ﷺ* would break the fast with fresh dates before performing Salah. If there were no fresh dates then (he would break the fast) with dried dates, and if there were no dried dates then he would take a few sips of water."

*The Prohibition of Speech During the Friday Khutbah*

Abu Hurairah *رضي الله عنه* reports that Rasúlullãh *ﷺ* said,

"If you tell your companion to be quiet on Friday while the Imam is giving the khutbah, you have spoken wrong."

*Today being the day of Friday let us recite Surah Kahf and excessive Salaat & Salaam (Durood) upon Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم.*

The Day of Judgement is Near

أَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ، بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم

قُلْ كُوْنُوْا حِجَارَةً اَوْ حَدِیْدًاۙ اَوْ خَلْقًا مِّمَّا یَكْبُرُ فِیْ صُدُوْرِكُمْ فَسَیَقُوْلُوْنَ مَنْ یُّعِیْدُنَا قُلِ الَّذِیْ فَطَرَكُمْ اَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ فَسَیُنْغِضُوْنَ اِلَیْكَ رُءُوْسَهُمْ وَ یَقُوْلُوْنَ مَتٰى هُوَ قُلْ عَسٰۤى اَنْ یَّكُوْنَ قَرِیْبًا

قُلْ : Say
كُونُوا۟ : Be"
حِجَارَةً : stones
أَوْ : or
حَدِيدًا : iron
أَوْ : or
خَلْقًا : a creation
مِّمَّا : of what
يَكْبُرُ : is great
فِى : in
صُدُورِكُمْۚ : ".your chests
فَسَيَقُولُونَ : Then they will say
مَن : Who"
يُعِيدُنَاۖ : "?will restore us
قُلِ : ,Say
ٱلَّذِى : He Who"
فَطَرَكُمْ : created you
أَوَّلَ : first
مَرَّةٍۚ : ".time
فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ : Then they will shake
إِلَيْكَ : at you
رُءُوسَهُمْ : their heads
وَيَقُولُونَ : ,and they say
مَتَىٰ : When will"
هُوَۖ : "?it be
قُلْ : ,Say
عَسَىٰٓ : Perhaps"
أَن : that
يَكُونَ : it will be
قَرِيبًا : ".soon

Say, "[You will be raised afresh even if] you turn to stone or iron or [any] creation of that which is deemed hardest [to recreate from] within your chests." And they will say, "Who will bring us back [to life]?" Say, "He Who created you in the first instance." Then they will nod their heads toward you and say, "When is that?" Say, "Perhaps it will be soon!"

Dua of Nabi PBUH onLaylatul-Bara'ah

On Laylatul-Bara'ah (15'h Night of Sha'bãn) Sayyidah Ã'ishah RA heard Rasülullah PBUH reciting the following du'ā whilst in sajdah:

أَعُوذُ بِعَفُوِكَ مِنْ عِقَابِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ، جَلَّ وجُهُكَ،
لَا أُحْصِيّ ثَتَاءً عَلَيْكَ، أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثُنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ

I seek refuge in Your Forgiveness from Your Punishment. I seek refuge in Your Pleasure from Your Anger. I seek refuge in You from You i.e. Your Punishment. Majestic is Your Being. I am not able to praise You (as You are worthy of praise). You are exactly as You have praised Yourself.

Sayyidah 'Ã'ishah RA said, In the morning, I mentioned these words to him. He PBUH said, 'O 'Ã'ishah! Learn them and teach them (to others) because Jibra'il taught me and ordered me to repeat them over and over again in sajdah.' (Al-Bayhaqi)

*14th Shaban 1447 - 2nd February 2026*

Abu Barzah (May Allah be pleased with him) said:

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ disliked going to bed before the Isha (night) prayer and indulging in conversation after it.”

(Bukhari & Muslim)

One lesson we learn from this Hadith is that Muslims should prioritise praying Isha on time and avoid unnecessary late-night activities, as going to bed early helps maintain discipline, protects one’s worship, and supports a healthy routine for the next day.

“Verily, Allah looks down in middle night of Sha’ban and He forgives all of His creatures, except for an idolater or one who holds grudges.”

Slander: A mark of the wrongdoers

أَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ، بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم

نَحْنُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا یَسْتَمِعُوْنَ بِهٖۤ اِذْ یَسْتَمِعُوْنَ اِلَیْكَ وَاِذْ هُمْ نَجْوٰۤى اِذْ یَقُوْلُ الظّٰلِمُوْنَ اِنْ تَتَّبِعُوْنَ اِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسْحُوْرًا

نَّحْنُ : We
أَعْلَمُ : know best
بِمَا : of what
يَسْتَمِعُونَ : they listen
بِهِۦٓ : to [it]
إِذْ : when
يَسْتَمِعُونَ : they listen
إِلَيْكَ : to you
وَإِذْ : and when
هُمْ : they
نَجْوَىٰٓ : are in private conversation
إِذْ : when
يَقُولُ : say
ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ : ,the wrongdoers
إِن : Not"
تَتَّبِعُونَ : you follow
إِلَّا : but
رَجُلًا : a man
مَّسْحُورًا : ".bewitched

_*We are well aware of what they wish to hear [to it] when they listen to you and [of] what they are in private conversation, when the wrongdoers say, "You are not following but a man affected by magic."*_

[17: 47]

*13th Shaban 1447 - 1st February 2026*

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,

“When one of you supplicates, let him be decisive and he should not say: ‘O Allah, bestow upon me such and such if You wish’, because no one has the power to compel Him.”

(Bukhari & Muslim)

One lesson we learn from this Hadith is that when we make dua, we should ask Allah with full confidence and certainty, trusting in His power and mercy, rather than hesitating or doubting by saying “if You wish.”

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,

“You must not supplicate: ‘O Allah! forgive me if You wish; O Allah bestow mercy on me if You wish.’ But beg from Allah with certitude for no one has the power to compel Allah.”

(Bukhari & Muslim)

One lesson we learn from this Hadith is to make dua with full confidence and certainty in Allah’s power and mercy, asking sincerely without hesitation, knowing that no request is too great for Him.

*The Blessings That Make Life Beautiful*

Sa'd bin Abi Waqas رضي الله عنه reports that Rasúlullãh ﷺ said,

“There are four things that are among the sources of happiness for man:

1. A righteous wife,
2. A spacious home,
3. A righteous neighbour,
4. A comfortable means of transport.”

.. That stops from taking heed

أَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيْمِ، بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْم

وَاِذَا قَرَاْتَ الْقُرْاٰنَ جَعَلْنَا بَیْنَكَ وَبَیْنَ الَّذِیْنَ لَا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ حِجَابًا مَّسْتُوْرًا

وَإِذَا : And when
قَرَأْتَ : you recite
الْقُرْاٰنَ : ,the Quran
جَعَلْنَا : We place
بَيْنَكَ : between you
وَبَيْنَ : and between
ٱلَّذِينَ : those who
لَا : do not
يُؤْمِنُونَ : believe
بِالْاٰخِرَةِ : in the Hereafter
حِجَابًا : a barrier
مَّسْتُورًا : .hidden

And when you recite the Qur'an, We place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter a hidden barrier.

[17: 45]
