英國聖公會聖馬田中文堂

英國聖公會聖馬田中文堂 1964年創立，聖馬田中文堂是當時英國唯一以中文聚會的聖公會教堂。我們為於倫敦市中心，我們承諾與那些處於社會邊緣的人同行。我們相信上帝就在邊緣。

聖馬田堂的起源

聖馬田大教堂座落於倫敦巿中心的樞紐，是一座巍峨古老的建築物，現址於1726年建成。面對特拉發加廣場，和國家藝術館成鼎足而立，是遊客必到的觀光景點。

聖馬田堂藉著守護聖者聖馬田，一位羅馬士兵昔日壯士斷斗蓬，而給衣不蔽體的露宿者，捨己關懷別人的精神而得名。在聖馬田堂的小聖堂就擺設了他的銅像，及在聖堂進門的左側都有聖馬田捨己關懷別人的畫像。遠自聖馬田堂主任牧師Dick Sheppard開始，在第一次世界大戰的時間,開始照顧回頭兵及將會開發前往戰場的士兵作憩息，開始了服務社會的一頁,時至今天，仍保留主耶穌基督的大愛，對露宿者的社會服務，肩負不可推卸的責任。

創立聖馬田中文堂 - 1950s

華人教會/中文堂源於五十年代初期;當時香港華人移居英國，在倫敦開設餐館和其他行業，聖馬田堂便與唐人街華人建立了千絲萬縷的關係。當時香港的何明華會督，在一年返英述職時,行經倫敦的唐人街,看見華人因為言語不通導致的苦況,於是差派剛委任的李兆英會吏到倫敦來照顧唐人街的華僑。後李兆英會吏被按立為牧師，在1964年9月18日創立了聖馬田粵語堂。

聖馬田粵語堂在2005年正名為聖馬田中文堂，後來併入聖公會聖馬田堂，也是英國唯一以中文聚會的聖公會教堂。

天父上帝，
你的聖子耶穌基督昔日在聖山上，
在你所揀選的見證人面前，奇妙地改變了形象，
並談論他在耶路撒冷將要完成去世的事：
求你賜力量給我們，使我們聽從他的聲音，背起自己的十字架，
就能在來世得見他的本相；
聖子和聖父、聖靈，
惟一上帝，一同永生，一同掌權，
永世無盡。
阿們。

Father in heaven,
whose Son Jesus Christ was wonderfully transfigured
before chosen witnesses upon the holy mountain,
and spoke of the exodus he would accomplish at Jerusalem:
give us strength so to hear his voice and bear our cross
that in the world to come we may see him as he is;
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
