Damson plums, harvested from my garden. Honestly, I'm not sure how much more crumble I can eat!

In recent workshops, my bespoke accord with plum, red berries and apple has been by far the most popular too. Rich, juicy, sweet, and a little bit boozy, it perfectly evokes the 'season of mellow fuitfulness'.

While I rarely create fragrances with a specific season in mind, we are definitely drawn to different scents throughout the year, aren't we?

Autumn fragrance feels

I've definitely noticed a change in the air this past week. Cooler, crisper, and the evenings are slowly drawing in.

If you're starting to feel the shift into cosy season, maybe it's time to reach for a different fragrance:

Vanilla - gourmand, warming and comforting, like a hug in a bottle

Forest - deep and earthy, inspired by walks over ancient forest floors

Votadini - red berries, wild heather, feasting, firelight, and the wild Scottish landscape

Celt - mead, honey & wild resins, warm, ancient, and deeply evocative

My August in pics...

Walks over cool forest floors, fallen leaves, pine needles. Rich, earthy, ancient. Autumn isn't quite here yet, but you can feel it's just around the corner.

Bottling that unique, earthy, grounded feeling in Forest. Which, alongside Coast, was our joint bestseller in August.

Picking blackberries and apples in the garden. Together, these create a beautiful fruity bouquet in a fragrance. Blackberries are tart, juicy, and in perfumery we can pair this with woody notes.

Harvesting damson plums. I created a plum accord for our workshops and people love to pair this with woods, rose, vanilla. It’s a seductive accord.

After a July full of travel, August has been a month of 'homliness', reconnecting with nature, and preparing for the coming change of season. Perfect.
