At a recent meeting in London, someone approached me with some very simple but sincere questions about hearing from God in a personal way, beyond a scripture verse. She was beginning to discover the Holy Spirit—or rather, the Holy Spirit was beginning to reveal Himself to her.

I could have stepped in and prophesied something that would have encouraged her and broadened her understanding. But immediately, the Holy Spirit reminded me, “Yes, you could do that. But in doing so, you would rob her of her own personal journey with Me. Just listen instead.”

And so I did. I held back what God had shown me and sensed His delight as I listened to her heart and her questions. That day reminded me of something valuable: the role of a true prophet is not to speak constantly or always have the answers; it is to equip people for the work of ministry and to guide them into their own relationship with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Far too many prophets and self-appointed voices feel the need to have the last word, or to claim, “This happened because I prophesied it.” We are living in a different day, and in many situations, prophets need to learn the discipline of silence.

Our mission is to raise up healthy prophets, help you understand your calling, and mentor you to move forward in God's purpose.
