MARK YOUR CALENDAR!
September 21st is our start up date for the new Bible Study Season.......We are launching out with a four week session on this critically important subject so we invite you to share this with your friends.....we all need to hear this and be reminded constantly about what the Bible has to say about FORGIVENESS.
And it has a lot!
It is one of the big themes of the scriptures seen in seed form from the first pages of Genesis through to its final culmination in Revelation. Christ calls us not simply to be people who know about forgiveness but to be those who live out our lives in and through forgiveness.

In a vision I found myself standing on a green heart shaped leaf,on the edge of a precipice, looking into a dark abyss.
There was no colour nor sound.
I could not see the bottom of the pit,nor its end,it went on into the distance without end.

All hope had gone, all my strength had left me,I had come to the end of myself.
I had the urge to let myself fall into the abyss.

How did I get here?
What am I doing here?
What is this place?
Is this the grave?

I was powerless to save myself. I could not go back, the only way seems forward into the dark.

Then I remembered.

My Hope is in The Lord!
He is all I need!
I turned my gaze from the pit and looked up.
He is my strength and my salvation!
He is The Redeemer of my life!
He will not let me fall.
He will lift me from the pit and set me back on safe ground.
In His voice there is new hope, new beginnings, new life!

And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:5

JOIN US AUGUST 31st in person in Winnipeg for our monthly gathering
(online only for out of town guests)

We are enjoying an incredible summer.
Rich. Rich in every way, and that isn’t said lightly.
There have been tough times as well as good ones. You may have found yourself sleepless and awake and thought, nothing is going to work out. Sadly, some times we’ve listened to our own lies, and yet, here we are.
Here we are, two thirds of the way through a season full of twists we did not choose and turns we did not see coming, and I believe God has us ready for gleaning.
What do I mean by that?
In a growing season, there comes a moment when what has reached maturity is gathered. Not planted. Not watered. Gathered. And it is the same in the Spirit. We take what we have learned, every hard mercy, every unexpected provision, and we gather it close to ourselves. It becomes food for us. Strength for the next season. It tastes sweet to our mouths, and it fills us, fills us, fills us with hope and joy.
This is what it means to live and glean in the Kingdom of God.
Not to have our attention anywhere but FULLY fixed on the One who called has called us, and who has shown Himself faithful. Faithful in February. Faithful in July. Faithful when we could not see the shape of what He was growing in us yet. That is what it means to have Christ formed in you in the secret place - we do not always get to see or understand what is going on!
But at season’s end, provision is in our hands right now. We need to hear that. It may not look the way we thought it would. It may not even taste the way you like. But it is what you have, and it is enough, because He gave it.
I think of Brian Doerksen this week, a worship leader who wrote songs that carried the Church for decades, gone now, home now, after a battle that moved faster than any of us could brace for. And I think of the words he gave us, written in a dark time as he walked the streets of London. His worship lives on through thes words that Holy Spirit spoke to Him . Words that outlive him, and will continue to go on and one. He taught us that NOW, not tomorrow, not when the season makes sense , but NOW is the time to worship.
Now.
While the gleaning is still happening
While you are able to still hold this harvest in your hands
Now is the time to worship.

HOLY HUNGER

This morning, I found myself reading Psalm 42 aloud, echoing within my four walls the cry that has come down through generations of believers as the language of HOLY HUNGER: “As the deer pants for the waters…” Go ahead, take out your Bible and read it again.
Perhaps it was no coincidence when yesterday evening a deer wandered into the garden and lingered, and it began to stir something ancient and very deep within me. Reminding me of the texts that talk about looking for the ancient ways.
Or perhaps it was the heartache of a question I had brought before the Father—the quiet grief of friendships that have fractured, and my own longing to be heard in each situation, to explain, to be understood in the middle of the mess these things serve up to us.
But God's response came in a way I would not have chosen. He did not speak comfortingly but rather gave me a questioning invitation to do things differently.
“Is it more important to you to speak your side of each story, or to remain in the place of hunger for My presence?” I don’t remember thinking specifically about the connection between hunger and a willingness to die to self in such personal areas, and so, like a child unwilling to surrender both, I whispered back, “Can I not have both, God?”
He answered with such clarity, with the kind of simple truth that forms Christ within us: “No.”

We live in an age, even within the Church, that has learned to mirror the world, telling us we can have everything: vindication and intimacy, expression and surrender, platform and presence. But the way of God is narrower, deeper, and far more costly.
This past year, He has been teaching me the way of Jesus - not in power, nor in proclamation, but in silence.
A silence chosen in obedience.
A silence that refuses to defend itself publically or behind the scenes.
A silence that does not rush in desperation to be understood - because I long for something more than human understanding.

And in that silence, something has been born within me. A fresh hunger so deep, so consuming, that it defies human language. I’ve always called it “Divine Agony”, as I’ve no other way to talk about the sacred desperation that no human affirmation can satisfy, no audience can replace, no platform can imitate.
It is the ache of the soul that has tasted God and cannot live without Him.
And I am beginning to see that this hunger, this agonizing and unbearable longing, is not a burden, but a gift.

For there is nothing this world can offer that compares to a life undone by desire for His presence.
