1 Samuel 2:9
For by strength no man shall prevail.
Hannah knew too well that nothing happens by might or by power but only by the Spirit of God. Ecclesiastes 9:11 says, I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
We are not judged by our strength or by our own abilities, because we can do nothing on our own, but rather needing God to function in our lives. Our own strength will fail us because we are nothing without God. He has to be the center of everything we are involved with.
How often do we start to move in a direction, face opposition and then quit? You had a great idea, you had tremendous passion, but once the real work came, you wore yourself out! It happens a lot of times even to the strongest willed person. They give up right before it even started. This is because we tends to want things at a particular time, thinking we don’t need God, and we have everything under control when we don’t.
“By strength no man prevail” We need to stop putting ourselves in the equation, trying to help God. He is God all by Himself. Today I confess that I cannot make it on my own. I can only do all things through the strength of God.
This is where power becomes effective as we depend on God to lead and direct us every step of the day. As we trust in Him and acknowledge Him, He will instruct us in all we do. Having total dependency on God is vital as we know if God is not in it eventually it will fall. Today seek the lord in all that you do and allow Him to manifest His goodness in your life.

ISAIAH 58:12
THOSE FROM AMONG YOU SHALL BUILD THE OLD WASTE PLACES; YOU SHALL RAISE UP THE FOUNDATIONS OF MANY GENERATIONS; AND YOU SHALL BE CALLED THE REPAIRER OF THE BREACH, THE RESTORER OF STREETS TO DWELL IN.
WHAT A WONDERFUL GOD WE HAVE AS OUR SAVIOUR. A GOD OF HOPE! GOD IS READY TO BRING HEALING TO HIS PEOPLE. SALVATION IS CHOSEN FOR THE GENTILES AND ALL BACK SLIDERS ARE NOW GIVEN A CHANCE TO REPENT AND RETURN TO GOD, BUT IT IS THROUGH FREE WILL THAT WE WILL RECEIVE THE GOOD WILL OF GOD. IN THIS PARTICULAR CHAPTER THE WORD "IF" IS USED NUMEROUSLY AS A TERM AND CONDITION FOR THE PEOPLE TO CONSIDER. "IF YOU TAKE AWAY THE YOKE FROM YOUR MIDST, THE POINTING OF FINGER AND THE SPEAKING OF WICKEDNESS" THEN YOU SHALL DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD AND I WILL CAUSE YOU TO RIDE ON THE HIGH HILLS OF THE EARTH.
THERE IS A WORK TO BE DONE BUT BEFORE WE AS A PEOPLE OF GOD CAN PROCEED WE MUST DO A SELF EXAMINATION. WE MUST BE READY TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND ACKNOWLEDGE OUR WRONG BEFORE GOD. THIS MEANS WE STOP THE POINTING OF THE FINGER AND EXTEND OUR LOVE ONE TO ANOTHER. HOW CAN YOU REPAIR IF YOU YOURSELVES ARE BROKEN? HOW CAN YOU RESTORE IF YOU ARE LOST IN THE RUBBLE? GOD IS EXTENDING HIS UNCHANGING HAND TO US TODAY THROUGH INSTRUCTIONS THAT WILL DIRECT US TO HIS EVERLASTING KINGDOM. ARE YOU READY TO EXTEND YOUR SOUL TO THE HUNGRY AND SATISFY THE AFFLICTED SOUL? ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE UP YOUR OWN PLEASURES AND DENY YOUR OWN WORDS? IF SO YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS SHALL GO BEFORE YOU AND THE GLORY OF THE LORD SHALL BE YOUR REAR GUARD. TODAY GET OUT OF YOUR FEELINGS AND LOOK TO WHAT IS AHEAD OF YOU AND LET GOD LEAD THE WAY.

THEREFORE GOD HAS HIGHLY EXALTED HIM AND GIVEN HIM THE NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY NAME. THAT AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, OF THOSE IN HEAVEN, AND OF THOSE ON EARTH, AND OF THOSE UNDER THE EARTH.
I HAVE A RESTRAING ORDER SIGNED IN THE NAME OF JESUS AGAINST ANYTHING THAT DOES NOT BEAR HIS NAME. BRETHRENS DO YOU BELIEVE THAT NO WEAPON FASHION AGAINST YOU WILL PROSPER? TODAY I WANT TO REMIND SOMEONE THAT THERE IS A NAME. THIS NAME IS NOT THE NAME YOUR PARENTS GAVE YOU, IT'S NOT THE ALIAS THAT CATEGORISE YOU. IT IS NOT THE TITLES OR OUR JOB POSITIONS. ITS A NAME THAT NO NAME IN HEAVEN OR ON EARTH OR EVEN UNDER HEAVEN CAN COMPARED. THIS NAME IS THE ONLY NAME THAT CARRIES A BARRIER AGAINST EVERY OTHER NAME THAT WANTS TO RISE UP AGAINST YOU.
THIS RESTRAING ORDER CANNOT BE REVOKED EXCEPT BY THE ONE WHO SIGNED IT. THE MOST RIGHTEOUS JUDGE THAT SITS ON THE HEAVENLY THRONE. THE ONE WHO ALL POWER BELONGS. THE ONE WHO EXCECUTE THE WRITTEN JUDGEMENT THAT SAYS "YOU SHALL NOT DIE BUT LIVE TO DECLARE HIS WORKS.
WE HAVE AN HONOUR BECAUSE WE BEAR THE NAME OF JESUS AND WITH THIS SIGNED ORDER EVERY SICKNESS, EVERY WEAPON AND EVERY TONGUE MUST BOW DOWN IN JESUS NAME.
IN THE COURT OF LAW IF ANYONE BREACHING A RESTRAING ORDER THEY MUST GO BEFORE THE JUDGE. ON CONVICTION OF INDICTMENT THE OFFENDER MAY BE IMPRISONED OR FINED OR BOTH. WHICHEVER WAY THERE ARE CONSEQUENCES. SO TODAY GET YOUR RESTRAING ORDER! GO TO THE JUDGE HE IS WAITING! OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND SPEAK IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

NEHEMIAH 3:1-2
THEN ELIASHIB THE HIGH PRIEST ROSE UP WITH HIS BRETHRENS THE PRIESTS AND BUILT THE SHEEP GATE; THEY CONSECRATED IT AND HUNG IT'S DOORS. THEY BUILT AS FAR AS THE TOWER OF THE HUNDRED, AND CONSECRATE IT, THEN AS FAR AS THE TOWER OF HANANEL. NEXT TO ELIASHIB THE MEN OF JEEICHO BUILT, AND NEXT TO THEM ZACUR THE SON OF IMRI BUILT.
NEHEMIAH HAD A GREAT WORK TO DO. A WORK NOT FOR HIMSELF BUT FOR ALL THE PEOPLE. HE HAD GREAT CONCERN ABOUT THE SURVIVORS WHO SURVIVED THE CAPTIVITY. BUT HE PROBLEM WAS THAT EVEN THOUGH THEY SURVIVED, THEY WERE FACED WITH DISTRESS AND REPROACH. THE WALLS OF JERUSALEM WAS BROKEN DOWN, AND IT'S GATE WERE BURNT WITH FIRE.
NEHEMIAH HAD TO FIRST SEE THE DAMAGE FOR HIMSELF BEFORE HE COULD DECIDE ON WHAT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. HE RECOGNISED THE DISTRESS THAT WAS BEING CAUSED BY JERUSALEM LAYING WASTED AND HE UNDERSTOOD HE NEEDED TO ENCOURAGE THE PEOPLE. THERE ARE TIMES WHERE CERTAIN SITUATIONS MAY CAUSE US TO BE AT A PLACE WHERE WE MAY LOOSE HOPE. WE MAY LOOSE OUR CONFIDENCE BECAUSE WE FEEL THERE IS NO RECOVERY.
NEHEMIAH ENCOURAGED THE PEOPLE. HE TOLD THEM HOW GOD HAS BEEN GOOD TO HIM IN CAPTIVITY AND HOW FAVOURABLE HE WAS BEFORE THE KING. THIS HELPED THE PEOPLE TO GAIN STRENGTH AND THEY DECIDED TO RISE UP AND BUILD. WHEN YOU SEEM TO BE AT YOUR WORST IT WONT TAKE ANYONE BUT YOU TO MAKE A DECISION. A DECISION TO SET YOUR HAND TO WORK ON YOUR RECOVERY. EVERYONE TOOK THEIR POSITION AND BUILT FROM THE RUBBLE UP. WHERE YOU START MAY BE A PLACE OF PAIN, BUT IF YOU KEEP BUILDING; YOU WILL IMPROVE. DAY BY DAY, STRENGTH UPON STRENGTH, COMPLETE THE WORK TO RESTORE YOUR LIFE.

2 CHRONICLES 32:7-8
"BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS; DO NOT BE AFRAID NOR DISMAYED BEFORE THE KING OF AS SYRIA, NOR BEFORE ALL THE MULTITUDE THAT IS WITH HIM; FOR THERE ARE MORE WITH US THAN WITH HIM. WITH HIM IS AN ARMY OF FLESH ; BUT WITH US IS THE LORD OUR GOD, TO HELP US AND TO FIGHT OUR BATTLES." AND THE PEOPLE WERE STRENGTHENED BY THE WORDS OF HEZEKIAH KING OF JUDAH.
AS A LEADER OF THE PEOPLE KING HEZEKIAH HAD TO MAKE A DRASTIC DECISION TO EITHER SUCCOMB TO THE THREATS OF THE ENEMY, OR ENCOURAGE THE PEOPLE TO STAND UP EVEN IN THE FACE OF ADVERSITY. JUDAH WAS BEING THREATENED BY A MAJOR ATTACK. KING HEZEKIAH MADE A DECISION THAT TOOK GREAT COURAGE. HE STOPPED ALL THE SPRINGS AND CUT THE WATER SUPPLY IN THE LAND, PREVENTING THE KING OF ASSYRIA TO FIND MUCH WATER AND BE BENEFITTED.
MANY TIMES WE ARE AFRAID TO SHUT OFF PEOPLE AND THINGS FROM OUR LIVE FOR FEAR OF BEING AFFECTED BY THE DECISION. HAVE IT EVER OCCURED TO YOU THAT BY LEAVING ACCESS YOU GIVE THE ENEMY A LOOP HOLE TO AID YOUR OWN DEMISE. SOMETIMES OUR DECISIONS MAY SEEM FARFETCHED YET WE MUST TRUST THE PROCESS EVEN IF IT CAUSES US DISCOMFORT.
WE MUST BE ENCOURAGED AND BELIEVE THAT GOD WILL FIGHT ALL OUR BATTLES. EVEN WHEN THE MULTITUDES ARE GATHERED TOGETHER WE KNOW THAT WE ARE NOT FIGHTING OF THE FLESH.
2 CORINTHIANS 10:4 FOR THE WEAPON OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT CARNAL BUT MIGHTY IN GOD FOR PULLING DOWN STRONGHOLD.

EPHESIANS 4:14
THAT WE SHOULD NO LONGER BE CHILDREN, TOSSED TO AND FRO AND CARRIED ABOUT WITH EVERY WIND OF DOCTRINE, BY THE TRICKERY OF MEN, IN THE CUNNING CRAFTINESS OF DECEITFUL PLOTTING, BUT SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE, MAY GROW UP IN ALL THINGS INTO HIM WHO IS THE HEAD- CHRIST.
WHEN DID YOU REALISED THAT YOU WERE NO LONGER A CHILD? WERE YOU PREPARING YOURSELF FOR THE DAY WHEN YOU WOULD BECOME MATURED. THE DAY YOU REALISED THAT NURSERY RYHMES HAD AN EXPIRY DATE MUST'VE BEEN ONE OF THE HARDEST THING TO UNDERSTAND. HOWEVER YOU TRUSTED EVERY WORD THAT PREPARED YOU FOR THE MOMENT.
IT'S A MANDATORY FACT ACCORDING TO OUR DEVELOPMENT AS HUMANS THAT WE TRANSCEND FROM ONE LEVEL TO ANOTHER IN GROWTH, AND IT IS SO WITH OUR SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT. WE MUST REALISE THAT WE HAVE TO REACH THE POINT WERE WE STOP BEHAVING AS CHILDREN BEING TOSSED FROM HAND TO HAND AND THROWING TANTRUMS.
OUR LIFE REQUIRES DEVELOPMENT TO BEAR US UP THAT WE MAY WALK IN CIRCUMSPECT ACCORDING TO OUR CALLING. WE ARE REMINDED THAT IN ORDER TO EDIFY WE MUST BE EDIFIED. WE MUST BE IN ONENESS OF THE LORD TO NOT BE CARRIED AWAY WITH EVERYTHING THAT IS PRESENTED TO US. WE MUST GROW UP IN AWARENESS, WE MUST GROW UP IN LOVE AND MOST OF ALL IN ALL THINGS INTO HIM WHO IS THE HEAD- CHRIST. IN THIS NEW YEAR LET THE JOINTS OF GOD CONNECTS US AND ALLOW EVERY PART TO DO IT'S SHARE TO CAUSE GROWTH OF THE BODY FOR THE EDIFYING OF ITSELF IN LOVE.

Matthew 4:18-20
And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
Peter and Andrew left their nets immediately to follow Jesus. They were fishermen who lived in a fishing village, and so it is no coincidence that fishing would be their profession, as that was what they were accustomed too.
MY question is, what motivated them to walk away from everything they knew? What inspired them to believe in the calling? After all Jesus didn’t say follow me and I will make you a millionaire, NO! He said “follow me and I will make you fishers of men” and so Peter and Andrew believed the calling without a doubt.
Jesus saw something no one else could. He admired their tenacity. Their determination and dedication to go out fishing everyday. And so He wanted to recreate them into purpose. This purpose is in Proverbs 11:30, The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. The interpretation is that if a man is wise he will by the very necessity of wisdom win souls, draw them to him, excite their attention, compel their confidence, constrain their honour through the word of God.
We have to push through the uncertainty, and believe that the same God who we trusted to provide the fish in the net, is the same God who will provide all our needs while we do the work of His kingdom. Jesus approach to everyone He called was different but for the same purpose, “FOLLOW ME.”
