Leuchars St Athernase Church has embarked on an ambitious regeneration project, which will attend to significant structural repairs and see the church into the 21st century and beyond.
It is the best preserved Romanesque church in Scotland and, given its historic significance, it needs to be saved and fit for purpose.
We are in the process of a £350,000 fundraising drive from a variety of sources but every penny is welcome.
Anyone who wishes to make a donation, however large or small, can do this on our website, www.leucharsstathernase.org.uk
The minister and congregation of the parish church in Leuchars have a beautiful and historic building in which to worship. We also have to maintain it to a high standard, for our own sake and for the hundreds of visitors who come from all over the world to see our 12th century Norman architecture.
