If this bill becomes law, it would have devastating consequences for disabled people, including people with Down’s syndrome and other intellectual disabilities, as well as their families.

HOW TO FIND PEACE AMIDST CHAOS :“So much that goes on in the world and in our lives can leave us asking questions. When we see the news, we can feel the world is out of control. And in our individual lives, there can be times when we wonder why we are in our particular circumstances, perhaps the job we have or where we live.

I think God cares about our questions and gives us help and guidance through the Bible. For example, in the story of Esther, we see a brave Jewish queen who risked her life for her people.

God is at work behind the scenes throughout the book of Esther, using the ordinary coincidences of life and the decisions people make. Knowing God is in ultimate control helps so much when we are confronted with so much bad news in the world. Have you tried praying about the things that most upset you about what is going on in the national and international news? It can really help bring inner peace.

The story of Esther has another lesson for us. God placed Esther in particular circumstances for a purpose. Esther was made queen at just that time in history, as the Bible says: "for such a time as this?"(Esther 4:14). Just as He did for Esther, imagine the difference it would make to your life if you recognise that God has a specific purpose for your life, no matter how old or how young. Whatever your situation, could God have placed you there? Can you be like Esther and have faith that all will work out and that God can help you do good in whatever situation you find yourself in?

So whenever you are troubled by what's going on in the world, remember that God is always there to call on. We can view our circumstances differently when we believe that God has placed us exactly where we are for a purpose. For more articles like this, see www.lifeofhope.online”
