WHAT TO BELIEVE
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ
died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he
rose again the third day according to the scriptures. — 1 CORINTHIANS 15:3,4

I read some time ago about a so-called minister of the Gospel who was a man
of some acclaim. Some reporters interviewed him when he arrived in a large city
about an article he had written. In the article, he had stated, “There is some
question as to whether Jesus ever rose from the dead. And it doesn’t really make
any difference whether He did or not.”
It makes all the difference in the world!
It makes the difference between spiritual life and spiritual death — because
that’s the way you receive eternal life. That’s the way you are born again — by
believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for your sins
according to the Scriptures, and that He arose from the dead!

Confession:
I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe that He died for my sins
according to the Scriptures. I believe that He was raised from the dead for my
justification; that is, that I might be set right with God. I believe in my heart that
I am the righteousness of God. I am made right with God through what Jesus
did.

HELPING OTHERS TO LIFE
And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which
are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life [zoe]
through his name. — JOHN 20:30,31

Jesus did many things that are not recorded in John’s Gospel, or in the other
Gospels. But the things that are recorded in the Gospels are recorded for a
purpose. What is this purpose? “. . . That ye might believe that Jesus is the
Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have zoe through his name.”
The object is that we might receive eternal life!
As a Christian, you need to know how to help others receive eternal life. The
first step is to get them to read or hear what is written in the Gospels so they may
know that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that as the Son of God, He has
made spiritual life available to spiritually dead men.
John 3:15 and 16 shows us how: “That whosoever believeth in him [Jesus]
should not perish, but have eternal life [zoe]. For God so loved the world, that
he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life [zoe].”

Confession:
I believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. And, believing, I received
zoe through His Name. I shall never perish. I have zoe. I have the life of God — I
have the nature of God — abiding in me.

Lord, we remember the kidnapped students and their teachers in prayer.
We pray for their safety, mental and physical wellbeing. We ask for mercy intervention. 🙏

May the LORD arise and show you mercy today.
Mercy will speak for you.
The mercy of God will open doors that no man can shut to you.
Mercy will preserve you in your going out and coming in this November in Jesus name.
