This short event offers the chance to explore the LyCiG approach with an opportunity to sample the course material, hear stories from churches that are on the LyCiG journey and have experienced growth, and help to create a profile and outline opportunities for our Synod Champions to help congregations on the journey.

Whether you're a minister, elder, or an interested church member, a LyCiG expert, or simply wanting to know more, bring your heart for growth and discover what LyCiG could offer your congregation.

The URC covers a wide breadth of theology and holding these different strands and conviction of these theologies is part of who we are. With the rise of Christian nationalism in UK and beyond, it can appear harder than ever to love and understand those who have a different point of view. The Joint Public Issues Team (JPIT) will lead this short session to equip you to thoughtfully address the rise of Christian nationalism with clarity, humility and faithfulness to the gospel. Participants will explore biblical teaching and political ideology, with practical ideas on how to engage in respectful and informed conversations, and how to foster a church culture rooted in Christ rather than national identity.

The Yorkshire Synod Youth Rep says hello:

'Hi my name is Jason Raddings and I am the youth rep for the next two years.

I am doing animal care and land management at college

I have been going to youth assembly for 3 years

I have been going to synod for 12 years

My hope for the year ahead is to talk to Churches and young people about what they want in the future. Role Models in the Church is going to be what I will work on.

My understanding of the role is that I am supporting Churches and young people on their journey.

My message is that I would love to come to different churches and talk to everyone who is interested in young people in the Church. I am here to help the Churches decide what they would like for youth related things in the Church.'
