Following a lovely meal and catch up, the volunteers of St Ninian’s Food Bank would like to thank everyone who has supported the food bank this year. Without your continued support, we simply wouldn’t be able to do it and we know it is a lifeline very much appreciated by a lot in our community. We will be open every Sunday as usual over the festive holidays, 1pm-2pm.

Fantastic donation from Strathaven & District Round Table. Lots of essentials we go through so fast, which will keep us going in the New Year, plus Christmas goodies we’ll hand out next week to our regulars. Can’t thank you guys enough for your continued support, it means so much to us 🥰

Wonderful donation from Board 24 Eurocentral, means so much, especially at this time of year 🥰

Climate Action Strathaven is delighted to be one of the drop off points for the Rotary Club's winter coat appeal.

If you've got an old coat that you no longer use, by donating it can help keep someone warm this winter!

Help!! We’re low on the following if anyone can please drop some items off next Sunday between 1pm-2pm - crisps, toilet rolls, washing up liquid, tinned fruit, potatoes, beans & sausage, jars of sauces (pasta, chilli), sugar. Any spare carrier bags would also be appreciated. Thank you 🥰

We really could do with the community’s help 🙏 We’re helping people more than ever these past few months but our food donations are at an all time low. As we often need to use dwindling cash donations to replace items we’re low on, we truly appreciate how expensive it is to do a food shop and how hard it is for everyone to make ends meet. We don’t want you to feel you have to come laden down with bags, but even just adding half a dozen tins of beans to your shop helps others less fortunate. And if dropping off whilst we’re open is a problem, you can message to arrange a drop off at one of the volunteers or the manse. Even adding one or two tins a week and dropping off once a month would help so much.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you’re able to help, the items we go through quickest are long life milk, diluting juice, tinned dinners, soup & veg, crisps and noodles/pasta packets. We really do appreciate every single donation.

We’re open every Sunday from 1pm-2pm.

Thank you 🥰
