We're still in awe at the incredible response to Methodist events for the eclipse - including one Methodist circuit on the Fylde coast which unexpectedly found itself with thousands of people arriving after having only prepared for a fraction of their number.

***SAVE THE DATE***

The weekend of 11th - 13th September has been designated as a mission weekend for churches in the Diocese of Blackburn in celebration of its centenary.

Here at St Michael’s, we shall be staging a programme of events across that weekend - details are on this poster.

We shall be sharing more detail about each of these events in the coming days - watch this space.

This promises to be a very special weekend - all are welcome and encouraged to attend some or all of these events

If your child needs uniform for the new school year, pop in with your child and help yourselves to 1 complete outfit per child, while stocks last, most sizes are available but cannot be guaranteed.

Our Experience and Engagement Team’s lived experience art exhibition continues to wow communities, clinicians and academics - and we want to invite you to our next session.

It's taking place on 12 August 2026, 10am to 3pm at Fairhaven Methodist Church, 67 Woodlands Road. Lytham St Annes, FY8 1BZ.

The event is open to clinicians, people accessing services and their loved ones.

So far, over 600 people have attended and shared experiences over artwork, letters and poetry.

Topics include:

- mental health

- physical health

- learning disability

- neurodevelopmental conditions

- staff identity

- experiences of medication
