Today is the last day of Lent, known as Easter Eve, or Holy Saturday. This is the day between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, when Jesus lay dead in a tomb.

Today is Good Friday, the day on which we remember how Jesus was crucified and died in sacrifice for all that is wrong in the world.

Today is Maundy Thursday, when we remember the Last Supper. On this night, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples and traditionally, this is remembered in Churches around the world by washing the feet of others. Jesus also shared bread and wine with his disciples, which we celebrate today as Holy Communion.

After supper, Jesus and the disciples went into the Garden of Gethsemane. It was there that Judas betrayed Jesus and he was arrested.

Today is Palm Sunday; the day on which we celebrate Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem, on the Sunday before Easter. As Jesus arrived, crowds gathered to greet him, waving palm branches and laying them on the path before him.
We remember this today with crosses made from palm leaves.
