Come along and join us as we celebrate “Churches Count on Nature” week with

‘An afternoon of nature’ at The 1086 Guild - All Saints Church, Buckworth on Sunday 14th June 🐝🦇🐝🦇🐝🦇

We will have informative talks by a ‘bat expert’ from the Cambridgeshire Bat Group🦇🦇🦇🦇 as well as a local bee keeper🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

Refreshments will also be available and an opportunity to take in some of the fantastic history of All Saints Church in Buckworth. 🍰🧁🫖☕️

We will also be making bug hotels with guidance and all equipment provided 🐛🐝🦋

Guided Nature Walk from All Saints Church, Buckworth

We are celebrating National ‘Churches Count on Nature Week’🐛🌱🦋🐝

The 1086 Guild have the ‘Guided Nature Walk’ this morning. We would love you to come along🐝🦋🌱🐛

There is tea, coffee and cake from 10:30 this morning 🧁🍰🫖☕️🥮

At 11am, there will be a ‘Guided Nature Walk’ leaving the church for a walk across the footpaths and bridleways surrounding Buckworth.

On return to the church, there will be an opportunity to make bug hotels🐛🐝🦋

Tea, coffee and cake will be available🫖

If you don’t fancy the walk, just come along for tea, coffee and cake to eat at the church or take away to enjoy later🙌🙌

As part of Volunteers’ Week, we’re celebrating the people who quietly keep rural communities going.

Across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, volunteers help run Community Hubs, support village halls, protect the environment, serve as trustees and create welcoming spaces where people feel connected and supported.

Over the last year alone, volunteers contributed more than 17,000 hours to support our work and helped create stronger, kinder and more resilient rural communities.

To every volunteer who makes tea, unlocks halls, chairs meetings, checks in on neighbours, organises events or simply turns up week after week to help others, thank you.

You are the reason communities thrive.

During this ‘Volunteers’ Week’, we wanted to say thank you to all our amazing volunteers who help support our beautiful, All Saints Church here in Buckworth.

The church relies on all the amazing volunteers who do a number of different roles from being a Church Warden, to cutting the grass and maintaining the churchyard, to fundraising and looking after our Buckworth Belfry Bookshop - The 1086 Guild plus many other roles.

They are all unsung heroes and it is great to have an opportunity to say “thank you” to them🙌🙌🙌🙌💖💖💖💖💖💖
