Would you like to help our local school children experience….?
‘The Mystery of Easter’ – the Easter Trail 2022
Each year in different churches we have set up rich interactive and experiential stations telling the Passion Story, the Resurrection Story, Lives of the Northern Saints, or the Creation Story, open to all visitors.
In 2022, churches in the Morpeth and Bellingham deaneries are offering a Passion Trail ‘The Mystery of Easter’ in St Mungo’s Church, and the village hall in Simonburn.
Alongside this we will host each school for a day, based in the village hall nearby, giving them a wide variety of activities closely linked with the Story in church. During the day they will visit the church trail, be enriched by Godly Play, music, activities and times of quiet and wondering. The children will be with us from 9.30am – 2pm.
A large team of volunteers to plan, guide, and ‘man’ the hall tables, es**rt, and cater for the team is needed please. Lunch will be provided!
The schools are booked to come daily during the week starting
Monday 28th March
Monday 28th: Cambo; Tuesday 29th : Humshaugh;
Wednesday 30th : Chollerton; Thursday 31st : Wark, Friday 1st April: Belsay
