Living Word Catholic Charismatic Renewal Prayer Group We are a friendly prayer group that meets every Friday from 7pm for Praise, Worship, and Bible Study

We are passionate about bringing the Word of God and Spiritual gifts into the lives of those whom God sends to us. We do this through Praise and Worship, Bible Study, Adoration, Mass, Parish Events and the Life in the Spirit Seminar.

Go and Make Disciples

In today’s Gospel, Jesus gives His disciples a final mission before ascending into heaven:

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations… and behold, I am with you always.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

What a powerful reminder for us today.

Jesus did not leave His disciples without purpose.
He sent them out with courage, faith, and the promise of His presence.

And that same promise is for us too.

No matter what this week brings:
✨ You are not walking alone
✨ God is still with you
✨ You are called to shine His light wherever you go

Sometimes we wait for the “perfect moment” to serve God, speak about Him, or live boldly in faith. But Jesus reminds us today to trust Him and step forward.

🙏 Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your promise to remain with us always.
Strengthen my faith and help me live as Your witness each day.

Give me courage to share Your love through my words, actions, and kindness to others.
Lead me this week and remind me that I never walk alone.

Amen.

God is patient… but He is also purposeful.

This week, ask yourself:
👉 What needs to change?
👉 Where is God calling me to grow?
👉 What fruit am I producing?

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your mercy and patience in my life.
You never give up on me, even when I fall short.

Help me to use this season wisely.
Prune away anything in me that is not from You.
Strengthen my faith, renew my heart, and help me to bear good fruit.

Lead me closer to You each day.
Amen.

A Call to Grow

Today’s Gospel reminds us of the Parable of the Fig Tree.
A tree that had no fruit… yet it was given more time.

This is God’s mercy.

Even when we fall short,
even when we delay,
even when we don’t see growth…

God is still patient with us.

But He is also calling us:
✨ To repent
✨ To grow
✨ To bear fruit in our lives

This Lent is not just about waiting.
It’s about becoming.

🙏 Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your patience and mercy in my life.

When I have been slow to grow,
when I have delayed what You have called me to do,
You still give me another chance.

Help me not to waste this season.
Prune what needs to be removed.
Strengthen what needs to grow.

Teach me to bear fruit in my faith, my family, and my daily life.

Lead me closer to You this week.

He Is Risen… Alleluia!

Today we celebrate the power and victory of Easter Sunday ✨

The grave is empty.
Death is defeated.
Hope is alive again.

This is not just a story…
This is a reminder that:
• Your past is forgiven
• Your future is secure
• Your life has purpose

No matter what you’ve faced, resurrection power is still working today.

🙏 Short Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of Your Son and the victory of the resurrection.
Let this new life fill my heart with hope, joy, and peace.
Help me to walk in the power of Your promises and live boldly in faith.

Good Friday Reflection ✝️

Today we pause and remember Good Friday…
A day of sacrifice, love, and deep reflection.

It is the day Jesus gave everything for us.
The cross was not the end… it was the ultimate expression of love.

On this day we are reminded:
• Love is sacrificial
• Grace is undeserved
• Mercy is freely given

Even in pain, there was purpose.
Even in darkness, there was a promise of resurrection.

🙏 Short Prayer

Today we remember Maundy Thursday, a powerful moment in the Lenten journey.

It marks:
• The Last Supper, where Jesus shared His final meal with His disciples
• The institution of the Holy Eucharist
• A deep act of humility, as Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, teaching us love through service

This day reminds us that true greatness is found in serving others, loving selflessly, and surrendering our hearts to God.

In the busyness of life, this is your gentle reminder:
👉 Slow down
👉 Reflect
👉 Love deeper
👉 Serve intentionally

🙏 Short Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the example of Jesus, who showed us what it truly means to love and serve.

🌿 Palm Sunday | Christ Our King

Today we welcome Jesus into Jerusalem with joy:
“Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!”

The crowd praised Him as King…
yet days later, many would turn away.

Palm Sunday reminds us that following Jesus is not only about celebration, but also commitment.
He comes as a humble King, riding on a donkey, showing us that true greatness is found in humility, love, and sacrifice.

As we enter Holy Week, we are invited to walk closely with Him.
To remain faithful not only in moments of praise, but also in moments of trial.

✨ Will we follow Him only when it is easy…
or will we stay with Him all the way to the Cross?

🙏 Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Today we welcome You as our King.
Reign in our hearts and in our lives.

Give us the grace to remain faithful to You,
not only in joyful moments, but also in times of sacrifice.

As we journey through this Holy Week,
help us to walk with You, trust You, and love You more deeply.

Called by Name, Led with Love

Today’s readings remind us of who God is and how He sees us.
In the first reading, God calls David not because of his appearance, but because of his heart.
In the Gospel, Jesus shows us that He is the light who opens our eyes and leads us out of darkness.

God is not looking at what others see.
He is looking at your heart.

And in Psalm 23, we are reminded:
“The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.”

Even when we walk through uncertain seasons, God is guiding us, restoring us, and leading us exactly where we need to be.

This Sunday is an invitation:
✨ To trust God’s vision over people’s opinions
✨ To walk in His light, not in fear
✨ To believe that He is leading you, even now

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for seeing me, knowing me, and calling me by name.
Help me to trust Your guidance, even when I do not understand the path ahead.

Open my eyes to walk in Your light.
Give me a heart like David, a heart that seeks You above all else.

Lead me this week as my Shepherd, and let Your peace guide every step I take.
In Jesus name. Amen.

Today we celebrate the Holy Family, reflecting on our own families as "domestic churches." The readings from Sirach and Colossians call us to live with honor, compassion, and patience, while the Gospel highlights the Holy Family's trust in God during their flight to Egypt.

Let us pray for the grace to mirror the peace of Christ in our homes. In Jesus name. Amen.
