Living Word Catholic Charismatic Renewal Prayer Group We are a friendly prayer group that meets every Friday from 7pm for Praise, Worship, and Bible Study

We are passionate about bringing the Word of God and Spiritual gifts into the lives of those whom God sends to us. We do this through Praise and Worship, Bible Study, Adoration, Mass, Parish Events and the Life in the Spirit Seminar.

🌿 Take Up Your Cross and Follow Me

Today’s Mass reading was such a reminder that following Jesus isn’t always about choosing the easiest path.

Jesus tells us:

“Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” Matthew 16:24

Sometimes faith means trusting God when we don’t understand.

Sometimes it means letting go of our own plans and allowing Him to lead.

And sometimes it simply means choosing to keep going when the road feels difficult.

🙏 Lord, renew my mind, strengthen my faith and give me the courage to follow You wherever You lead.

✨ Do Not Be Afraid ✨

Jesus reminds His disciples that they are precious in God’s eyes. Just as the Father cares for every sparrow, He cares even more for each one of us. No matter what challenges, fears, or uncertainties we face, we can trust that God knows us intimately and watches over us.

🌿 Reflection for Today

There are moments when life feels overwhelming. We may worry about our families, our future, our finances, our health, or situations beyond our control. Yet today Jesus speaks directly to our hearts:

“Do not be afraid.”

God knows every detail of our lives. He sees our struggles, hears our prayers, and walks with us through every season.

This week, choose faith over fear. Trust that the same God who counts every hair on your head is guiding your steps, opening doors, making a way where there seems to be no way, and working all things together for your good.

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your constant love and care. When fear tries to take hold of our hearts, remind us that we belong to You. Help us to trust Your plan, walk in faith, and find peace in Your presence.

Protect our families, strengthen those who are struggling, comfort the sick, provide for those in need, and guide us throughout this week.

Fill our hearts with courage, hope, and confidence in Your unfailing love.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Go and Make Disciples

In today’s Gospel, Jesus gives His disciples a final mission before ascending into heaven:

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations… and behold, I am with you always.” (Matthew 28:19-20)

What a powerful reminder for us today.

Jesus did not leave His disciples without purpose.
He sent them out with courage, faith, and the promise of His presence.

And that same promise is for us too.

No matter what this week brings:
✨ You are not walking alone
✨ God is still with you
✨ You are called to shine His light wherever you go

Sometimes we wait for the “perfect moment” to serve God, speak about Him, or live boldly in faith. But Jesus reminds us today to trust Him and step forward.

🙏 Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Thank You for Your promise to remain with us always.
Strengthen my faith and help me live as Your witness each day.

Give me courage to share Your love through my words, actions, and kindness to others.
Lead me this week and remind me that I never walk alone.

Amen.

God is patient… but He is also purposeful.

This week, ask yourself:
👉 What needs to change?
👉 Where is God calling me to grow?
👉 What fruit am I producing?

🙏 Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your mercy and patience in my life.
You never give up on me, even when I fall short.

Help me to use this season wisely.
Prune away anything in me that is not from You.
Strengthen my faith, renew my heart, and help me to bear good fruit.

Lead me closer to You each day.
Amen.

A Call to Grow

Today’s Gospel reminds us of the Parable of the Fig Tree.
A tree that had no fruit… yet it was given more time.

This is God’s mercy.

Even when we fall short,
even when we delay,
even when we don’t see growth…

God is still patient with us.

But He is also calling us:
✨ To repent
✨ To grow
✨ To bear fruit in our lives

This Lent is not just about waiting.
It’s about becoming.

🙏 Let Us Pray

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your patience and mercy in my life.

When I have been slow to grow,
when I have delayed what You have called me to do,
You still give me another chance.

Help me not to waste this season.
Prune what needs to be removed.
Strengthen what needs to grow.

Teach me to bear fruit in my faith, my family, and my daily life.

Lead me closer to You this week.
In Jesus Name. Amen.

He Is Risen… Alleluia!

Today we celebrate the power and victory of Easter Sunday ✨

The grave is empty.
Death is defeated.
Hope is alive again.

This is not just a story…
This is a reminder that:
• Your past is forgiven
• Your future is secure
• Your life has purpose

No matter what you’ve faced, resurrection power is still working today.

🙏 Short Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of Your Son and the victory of the resurrection.
Let this new life fill my heart with hope, joy, and peace.
Help me to walk in the power of Your promises and live boldly in faith.

Good Friday Reflection ✝️

Today we pause and remember Good Friday…
A day of sacrifice, love, and deep reflection.

It is the day Jesus gave everything for us.
The cross was not the end… it was the ultimate expression of love.

On this day we are reminded:
• Love is sacrificial
• Grace is undeserved
• Mercy is freely given

Even in pain, there was purpose.
Even in darkness, there was a promise of resurrection.

🙏 Short Prayer

Maundy Thursday Reflection

Today we remember Maundy Thursday, a powerful moment in the Lenten journey.

It marks:
• The Last Supper, where Jesus shared His final meal with His disciples
• The institution of the Holy Eucharist
• A deep act of humility, as Jesus washed His disciples’ feet, teaching us love through service

This day reminds us that true greatness is found in serving others, loving selflessly, and surrendering our hearts to God.

In the busyness of life, this is your gentle reminder:
👉 Slow down
👉 Reflect
👉 Love deeper
👉 Serve intentionally

🙏 Short Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the example of Jesus, who showed us what it truly means to love and serve.
Give me a humble heart, willing to serve others with kindness and grace.
Help me to walk in obedience, love selflessly, and reflect Your light in all I do.
