❤️ Our community now has a defibrillator!
A small but significant moment at St Mary's today - our new community defibrillator was officially unveiled and blessed outside Butterfly Nursery, visible from the road and accessible to everyone, day and night.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, to our councillors Lesley Steeds and Alison Brown for representing the community, to Patrick and Fusilier Electrical Ltd who installed it, and to Butterfly Nursery School for hosting it on their wall.
The defibrillator was gifted by the British Heart Foundation. It belongs to all of us - and it could save one of our lives.

A huge well done to all the cast of our “Victorian Christmas in Horne Workhouse” evening! Special thanks to Lauma for organising and writing the play, James for the music, all who provided the delicious refreshments, as well as the great audience for their participation and enthusiasm!

An evening for all ages with Victorian carols, readings and parlour games.

𝄞 ♪♫♪ Organ Recital ♪♫♪

Peter Nye will be giving an organ recital on Saturday 22 November at 2pm , in St Mary the Virgin, Horne , which is St Cecilia’s Day – the
patron saint of music.

It ties in with the RSCM Director’s Challenge 25-hour organ playing marathon. As part of that he will play a specific piece at 2pm and is encouraging other organists to join him – which Peter will do. The recital will also include other transcriptions of music for organ.

Admission and refreshments are free, with donations
supporting the work of the RSCM.

‼️!!! CHANGE OF VENUE!!!‼️

Due to problems with the organ at Burstow, the Choral Evensong on Sunday (21 September) has been moved to Horne.

The service will still be at 4pm, and everyone is welcome, but it will now be at St Mary the Virgin, Horne instead.
