St.Davids is a place of Worship (for over 150 years), but as a Church we believe in Community, support for our neighbours (local and around the World) and a place of hope. We are a mission focussed community Church in the heart of Holmbridge in the beautiful Holme Valley, West Yorkshire, UK. We are an Anglican Church within the Upper Holme Valley Team Ministry. We meet every Sunday and also throughout the week to worship, serve, share and grow together as we continue in our Christian journey.

A little midweek reminder. 🌻

It’s easy to rush through the week without really noticing what is happening around us.

The smile from someone we passed.
The unexpected message from a friend.
A cup of tea and five quiet minutes.
Someone holding a door open.
A conversation that made us laugh.

None of these things are big.

But perhaps that’s the point.

Life isn’t only made up of the big moments. It is made up of hundreds of little ones, and sometimes we need to slow down enough to notice them.

So, as we reach the middle of the week, let’s take a moment to look around.

Notice the good.
Give thanks for what we have.
Be kind to someone who might need it.
And perhaps be the reason someone else has a little brighter day.

There is good around us, if we take the time to see it. ❤️🙏

A new week is a reminder that there is always hope.

Whatever you are carrying into this week, whatever you are facing, and whatever may be worrying you, there is always the possibility that something good is just around the corner.

So this week, let’s look forward with hope. Let’s be people who encourage others, who notice those who are struggling, who choose kindness and who believe that tomorrow can be better than today.

Whatever this week holds, may it bring new opportunities, unexpected blessings and plenty of reasons to be thankful.
