What a wonderful afternoon yesterday, at the Methodist Wesley Chapel in Harrogate as we heard from two ordinands in the District giving their testimony, describing their faith journey. Revd Abi Alex, from the Tadcaster Circuit, and Revd Ian Bryon, from the Nidd Valley Circuit, will be fully ordained in two weeks’ time. Revd Abi, pictured, is minister for Boston Spa Methodist Church: we wish him well and look forward to his continued ministry.

What a fabulous concert to end the current season of Lunchtime Concerts. The saxophone quartet "Sax forte" treated a bumper audience to a wonderfully varied programme. The next concert will be Friday 11th September with flautist Adele Bracegirdle.

The Boston Spa Festival is being held over the weekend of 10th-12th July and there's lots going on in the village. Why not come along to the Methodist Church on the Sunday with an opportunity to sing your favourite hymns at the Songs of Praise at 10.30am, followed by coffee and biscuits. And then there will be an open table tennis session from 12.30pm. Come and join in the fun.
