Fabulous service this morning with Revd Tim Meadows (Moderator to General Assembly) leading worship. Special thanks to David Hall for stepping in to provide the music when the gremlins attacked the new audio visual system. Also thanks to Revd Malcolm Garforth Fife for banjo and guitar interludes!
Great worship at Heckmondwike & wonderful to welcome to our friends from Longcauseway church

The afternoon of Sunday 23 June saw the fabulous Cafe Jam worship group at a gathering of the churches in SPACE (SPen And Calder Enterprise). Congregations from Heckmondwike URC, Longcauseway church, Norristhorpe URC and Ravensthorpe with Hopton URC were spiritually uplifted with both familiar and new worship songs during the all age worship.
The proceedings began with an ‘afternoon tea’ style lunch prepared by people of the Heckmondwike church, followed by the quality live music as performed by Malcolm, Rita and Helen, expertly coordinated by Richard. The group, Cafe Jam, had travelled from areas of the Mersey Synod and were warmly received as praise, prayer and reflections enhanced the whole worship experience. Truly inspirational!

DON’T FORGET TO COLLECT YOUR ORDER AT 2.00PM TODAY.

Unfortunately we are getting at least 10 ‘no shows’ most weeks now, that is people who order on Saturday and do not collect on Monday.
Therefore several people are unable order because the slots are full.

If you are unable to collect between 2.00pm and 2.30pm please ask someone to collect on your behalf.
Many thanks from TBBT volunteers

Our junior church members watched the wreath being placed on the war memorial during the Remembrance Day service this morning.
They learned lots about why we have poppies & the meaning of the ceremonies around the country. Their creative activity was to make a poppy biscuit (very popular!)

We will remember them 🌺
