Hayes End Methodist Church

Hayes End Methodist Church We are a multicultural church that seeks to love and serve God. Our normal service is Sunday at 11. Plans are already being made for the next phase of the work.

There has been a Methodist congregation meeting in the Hayes End area for over 100 years. As a worshipping community we are proud to continue what previous generations started. Our hope is that we can continue to serve God in our community in this and future generations and with this in mind we are in the process of modernising our building. In 2009 we completed the first stage of this process wit

h the modernisation of our worship area and the addition of various facilities to make it more accessible. The people who worship here come from a wide range of ages, traditions, and nationalities, much like the community around us. The uniting factor is that we all wish to serve God whilst learning more about how we can and should do it. At Hayes End we try to be a welcoming community and you will be greeted on a Sunday morning by one of our members who can answer most questions you may have. In addition, our leadership team is available at all services to answer any other queries. They all wear badges to identify themselves and any member of the congregation will point them out.

This Wednesday (11 March) is our midweek communion service at 11.00am, followed by all our Welcome Wednesday activities.
At the service we'll be thinking about Jesus and his conversation with the woman at the well (John's Gospel, chapter 4).
Come along, find out more and share bread and wine with us.

At The Boys' Brigade we use six Activity Areas across all of our age groups to provide children and young people with a balanced and engaging programme: Get Active, Get Adventurous, Get Creative, Get into the Bible, Get Involved and Get Learning.

Although we are open to children and young people from any faith and background, our work is rooted in the Christian faith and centred around our Object of 'advancing Christ's kingdom'. The 'Get into the Bible' Activity Area aims to provide activities which enable members to explore and experience the faith and express beliefs and attitudes ✝️

Our prayer and hope is that children and young people experience "life to the full" (John 10:10) through coming to know Jesus for themselves 🙏

All We Can is responding to Hurricane Melissa in partnership with the Methodist Church in Britain.

We are working closely with our regional partner, the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA), to ensure that funds raised are directed to where they are most needed. MCCA is working on co-ordinating emergency relief efforts across affected communities in the region.

Our partner, MCCA, intend to purchase bulk goods such as food and shelter materials to help those most acutely affected by the hurricane.

We need you to give today to help our partners undertake their life-saving work.

The President and the Vice-President offer a prayer for those affected by hurricane Melissa 🙏

Bishop Reverend Juan M. Simpson, Connexional President of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas has said, "As soon as all clear is given for people to move around without putting their lives at risk, we will be establishing where resources will be needed, both food and roof repair materials.”

Loving God,
We offer you our prayers for people of the Caribbean, particularly Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti and nearby islands.
For those whose loved ones have been killed, we pray for comfort.
For people who have been injured, we pray for those bringing medical aid to come quickly.
For those anxious about the destruction around them or the coming wind and rain, we pray for your peace.
For the public and emergency services, and those bringing aid, we pray for strength.
We pray for our partner Churches in the Jamaica and Haiti districts of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and Americas and in the Methodist Church in Cuba.
Help them as they pray with and serve the community around them, may they know your presence at this time.
Help us in Britain to be responsive in our prayer and solidarity with them as the news of the effects of this hurricane become clearer in the coming days.
In the name of Christ we pray,
Amen

The President and Vice-President of the Conference
