Hayes End Methodist Church We are a multicultural church that seeks to love and serve God. Our normal service is Sunday at 11. Plans are already being made for the next phase of the work.

There has been a Methodist congregation meeting in the Hayes End area for over 100 years. As a worshipping community we are proud to continue what previous generations started. Our hope is that we can continue to serve God in our community in this and future generations and with this in mind we are in the process of modernising our building. In 2009 we completed the first stage of this process with the modernisation of our worship area and the addition of various facilities to make it more accessible. The people who worship here come from a wide range of ages, traditions, and nationalities, much like the community around us. The uniting factor is that we all wish to serve God whilst learning more about how we can and should do it. At Hayes End we try to be a welcoming community and you will be greeted on a Sunday morning by one of our members who can answer most questions you may have. In addition, our leadership team is available at all services to answer any other queries. They all wear badges to identify themselves and any member of the congregation will point them out.

This Saturday (6 June) is our Summer Fun afternoon, between 2 and 5pm. Entrance and activities are free.
Everything takes place inside, whether there is sunshine or rain showers.
Aimed at children with energy to burn, there are bouncy castles and crafts, with space for parents and grown-ups to sit down and rest their weary feet. The afternoon ends at 5pm with a BBQ.
Come along with family and friends.

Worth a watch!
This year Pentecost is on 24 May. This is the day in 1738 when John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, had a powerful spiritual experience. This convinced him of the truth of his salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. He began to preach that this salvation was available to everyone.
This year, BBC's Songs of Praise celebrates this with a selection of hymns, and stories of how that passion and conviction continue today. Watch it by clicking on the link -

Aled Jones is in Bristol to explore the spiritual inspiration of John and Charles Wesley, and to introduce classic Wesley hymns from the oldest Methodist building in the world.

This Wednesday (11 March) is our midweek communion service at 11.00am, followed by all our Welcome Wednesday activities.
At the service we'll be thinking about Jesus and his conversation with the woman at the well (John's Gospel, chapter 4).
