Whether you are a parent, aunt, uncle, Grandparent, Godparent, leader or just great mate to a child right now, how do you help them manage the emotions triggered by this ?

What do we teach our children about our emotions - and have we ever thought to look to Jesus as an example? Sara Hargreaves from engageworship.org shares the story behind a brilliant new resource aiming to help us do just that:

We all have questions we don’t know the answers to, right? I mean questions about life, emotions, tough stuff and how to find a way through. Those moments where your emotions feel irrational, where you don’t know what to do with yourself or where it feels like you sailed into a storm you have no idea how to manage.

And faith can sometimes make that stuff tougher - if you’ve questions about why God is letting this happen, or why your prayers aren’t being answered or other people quoting stuff at you that feels unhelpful or just makes you feel worse.

Your Q’s is the space on beheadstrong.uk where young people can send us their questions - and we’ve a panel of people who answer. Anything goes here - it’s a safe space to ask and share and get good answers.

Did you know it’s also ok to ask God your questions? To cry out to him with the ‘why is this happening’ moments, the ‘why didn’t you stop this?’ times and the ‘I don’t know what to do’ decisions.

Let’s take a moment to pray for anyone wrestling right now with really difficult questions.

🙏 For all those who don’t know what to do.

🙏 For those facing what feel like impossible situations.

🙏 For those caught in a fog of anxiety that makes thinking clearly really tough.

Let’s speak God’s amazing, supernatural peace over them right now.

If YOU know a young person with questions they want answers to, they can email [email protected]

Perhaps one of the most poignant aspects of lockdown, particularly as we’ve continued to journey through the various phases of it, has been the effect it has had on a generation ironically least likely to be impacted physically by the virus.

It's had a huge effect on those for whom the emotional, relational and psychological impact has been most dramatic: our children and teenagers - those growing up in the time of coronavirus - now being described in some circles as the ‘Coronavirus generation’.

In this new article "Locked Down But Not Out", Kate Middleton asks how best to support our young people and why we're launching beheadstrong.uk this week.

Today is a bank holiday, and a great chance to grab a quiet day. For many, it’s a last chance to rest before the autumn term kicks off.

This week is an exciting one for us as tomorrow we’re launching a BRAND NEW RESOURCE aimed at supporting teens and young people with their emotional wellbeing - helping them figure out how to do real life and not just survive but thrive even in crazy times like these. More about that tomorrow …

For today we want to kick off the week by praying for all the kids and young people heading back to school this term - those already back and those preparing to go back this or next week.

2020 has been unusual in so many ways(!) - and we’re aware this week will present many things:

- , particularly for those who have been out of school for 6 whole months.

- , as children of all ages get used to being in that environment again.

- , for those who know they have someone of higher vulnerability in their household.

- for anyone who got behind during lockdown and will have a lot of catching up to do.

Maybe you have kids or young people in your household? - maybe you don’t, but know people who do? Even if you don’t, praying for this rising generation is so important right now. They’re hearing a lot of negativity about them and their future - and it’s causing a lot of anxiety. This is our chance to speak good things over them, to pray peace and life and future for them - to help them stand tall in all the things they face.

So let’s start by praying for all those already preparing for the new term. Don’t forget the teachers, headteachers and parents too - many of whom are also anxious and/or under pressure. Let’s pray peace and productivity as they sort out all the practicalities ready to return.

Hey guys, it's us again... we're back with another story of God's Goodness.

This week we have the amazing Andreia sharing about how God was with her when her husband, Fernando, was injured at the start of their marriage. This story is a reminder that no matter what we face, He is with us.

We hope this story encourages you and fills you with faith that you can get through whatever you're facing.

God is good, He's better than you think.

So tonight at 8 there's a national moment to remember all those who have died in the pandemic.

We'll be lighting a candle in our homes, and thinking too of those facing all kinds of darkness and challenge in this season - those for whom things are improving but also those still facing fear, anxiety, lockdown and separation from those they love.

Whoever you are and whatever you are finding tough today, you are not forgotten. This season will end. Light will win out. So why not join us - we may be distanced in location but in spirit we can share a moment together and remember we are united in prayer and love and hope.

Why not post a candle emoji below to show you're with us? 🕯

Wow! Yet again we are blown away by the goodness of God.

We know that these stories might be hard to believe, it’s because they’re stories of God turning people’s lives around. That’s what He does. Over and over.

Our commitment to you is to keep finding these stories so that we can keep sharing them. We hope that they encourage you as much as they encourage us. For those looking for answers you’ll find them when you find Jesus.

Thank you so much for sharing your story Kerry, it’s a beautiful example of how the world we live in is not perfect. But our Father always brings beauty out of ashes.

Although we hope that no one ever finds themselves in such traumatic circumstances it’s important we know that Jesus is always with us no matter the what is going on around us.

He can do it for you, and just like Kerry we have never regretted choosing Jesus.

Working from home used to sound like some futuristic utopia; discarding the stresses of work commutes, we would wake up late and finish early. Propping up our laptops on our pillows we would chill through online conference calls wearing sports gear...

3 months into home working, Will Van Der Hart finds the things we thought we wouldn't miss are actually important for our emotional health. He shares why it's essential that we think through the emotional health ramifications of home working and find ways of mitigating some of its challenges, whilst also recognising its benefits.
