Salvatorians British Province Founded by Father Francis Jordan, with the intention of making the Saviour known and loved in the world today, using all ways and means the Lord inspires

Welcome to the page of the Salvatorian Fathers and Brothers in the British Province. The Salvatorians were Founded in 1881 by Fr Francis Jordan, who longed for the Saviour to be known and loved by all peoples. Fr Jordan was a man of great missionary zeal, much ahead of his times. He made use of the media of his day by means of a printing press, and he empowered many lay people to become m

ore engaged with the work of evangelization. God created us and calls each one of us to be holy, to be His adopted children, to be servants and love to others, and to ultimately be with Him in Heaven for all eternity. However, while these are universal calls to every person, God has created each one of us with a multitude of different gifts and talents that have an enormous potential to be fulfilled within the context of a particular lifestyle. The possible vocational lifestyles that God places before us are: ordained and religious life, married life, or single life. We hope that our online presence will today also serve this same purpose of reaching all people around the globe, making Jesus Christ known to all. We have a Superior General!
This morning - just - the capitulars of the 20th General Chapter elected Father Krzysztof Kowalczyk to lead the Society of the Divine Saviour for the next 6 years.

Father Krzysztof has a wealth of experience as a Salvatorian. He hails from the Polish Province, where he has served in various roles inc parish ministry, formation and administration. He has worked as a missioner in the Philippines and latterly in Australia, and also served on the Generalate in Rome as a consultor.

We offer him our prayerful congratulations and support for the future.

Please pray for our beloved Fr Noel Keane sds who sadly passed away this morning, 08 April 2024, at Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow at the age of 88 years old. May he rest in peace.

Fr Noel will be received in St Joseph’s church Harrow in the evening of 29th April and his funeral mass will take place the following day 30th April.
