Last month, Christians from across Kenton came together in a joyful celebration of faith, friendship and fellowship, as Anglicans from St Mary-the-Virgin, Kenton joined Roman Catholics from All Saints, Kenton, alongside local clergy and worshippers from other churches, for a procession through the streets of this diverse north-west London community.

Led by the Rt Revd Jonathan Baker, Bishop of Fulham, and accompanied by South Asian dhol drummers and a brass quartet, worshippers processed an image of the Mother of God in a vibrant expression of faith and Christian unity.

The celebrations continued on the eve of Pentecost as more than 150 people gathered for a world foods party, sharing food and fellowship that reflected the rich cultural heritage of the two congregations. Together, they raised more than £1,000 for Mary's Meals, supporting its vital work with children and families around the world.

A wonderful example of the Church bringing people together across traditions, cultures and backgrounds.

We are delighted to report that last month’s parish appeal in aid of Mary's Meals raised the magnificent sum of £1,097.20 (+Gift Aid) - which will feed more than 50 hungry children for a whole year! Thank you to all who contributed, and God bless you!
