Churches Count On Nature - Churches and communities across the UK will come together to celebrate and care for local wildlife. By exploring and recording the nature around our churchyards and green spaces, we can help protect biodiversity, connect people with the natural world and show the importance of caring for creation together.

The Great Big Green Week - More than a million people across the UK will come together to support their communities, protect nature and tackle climate change. By acting together, we can improve our neighbourhoods and show politicians and decision-makers that people everywhere want positive change.

Be part of these from the 6th - 14th June. Head to the websites to find out more.

Happy World Environment Day! 💚🌍💙

As Christians, we believe caring for God’s creation is not an optional extra. It is part of our shared mission, namely the Fifth Mark of Mission which calls on us ‘to strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, & sustain & renew the life of the earth’.
As communities around the world face the impacts of climate change, biodiversity loss & environmental damage, we pray for courage, wisdom & hope.
🙏 God of creation,
teach us to love the earth as your gift,
to listen to those most affected by environmental harm, & to act with justice, compassion & care.
Amen 🙏

World Environment Day is marked every year on 5 June to encourage global awareness and action for the protection of the environment.

For Anglicans, caring for God’s creation is not an optional extra. It is part of our shared mission. The Fifth Mark of Mission calls us ‘to strive to safeguard the integrity of creation, and sustain and renew the life of the earth’.

As communities around the world face the impacts of climate change, biodiversity loss and environmental damage, we pray for courage, wisdom and hope.

God of creation,
teach us to love the earth as your gift,
to listen to those most affected by environmental harm,
and to act with justice, compassion and care.

Amen.
