“...He did not know that the Lord had departed from him.” - Judges 16:20

Compromise rarely destroys suddenly. It starts quietly - one excuse, one hidden habit, one ignored conviction.

But what we tolerate, we allow to grow.
What we keep feeding, we keep alive.

Samson did not lose his strength in one moment - he lost it through repeated compromise until he no longer realised the Lord had departed from him.

This is not a message of condemnation, but a call to return.

Bring it into the light.
Cut it off.
Come back to God.

God is the same in every season, in his preaching Pastor Josh stated that our God is a God of provision, if he provided for us in our previous seasons, he will continue to do so even when we enter our most difficult of seasons. However we have to continue to be faithful to him, like Elijah in this passage, he knew that his secret place was the place where he can plead to God about anything. The question is do you have a secret place? Is your faith in him stronger than any other desire?

Whatever happens when God tells you to move, you have to obey. No more going back or camping at a certain place. We have to go.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray…” - 2 Chronicles 7:14

Our hearts and prayers are with the people of Mindanao during this difficult time.

In moments of shaking, loss, fear, and uncertainty, we believe in a God who is near to the brokenhearted and present in every storm. We stand in prayer for every family affected, every life disrupted, every community grieving, and every rescue and relief effort taking place.

Let us not only feel compassion, but respond in prayer. May the Lord bring comfort to the hurting, strength to the weary, protection over those still in danger, and healing over the land.

Pray for Mindanao. Pray for peace. Pray for healing. 🙏
