Halewood Ecumenical Team

Halewood Ecumenical Team St Mary’s and St Nicholas’ Churches serve the town of Halewood within the borough of Knowsley, on the edge of the city of Liverpool.

We are part of the Anglican Diocese of Liverpool and the Methodist District of Liverpool; and, with St Hilda's, Hunts Cross, we make up the Halewood and Hunts Cross Team.

This morning was our Annual Church meeting so children from both St Nicholas' and St Mary's joined together with leaders from both churches. And this is what they were doing.

Today the children thought about worries and difficulties that we may have. We thought about how we can supprt other and how to be supported - we remembered that God is always here to help and guide us.

The children made worry stones and hand print pictures to take away and hold when they feel worried, as a way of connecting with God and remembering His helping hands.

We also played games to think about trusting and supporting one another. 🩷

We have lots happening today in Halewood. This morning we have our Annual Parochial Church Meeting as part of our morning service at St Nicholas'. This is a really important occasion in the life of the church so please do try to attend. There will be no morning service at St Mary's.

This evening we're joining together with the other churches in Christ our Light to worship together and to hear updates and future vision for the parish. There will be no evening service at St Nicholas' so please do come to Springwood Church at 6.30pm.
