OVERCOMING FEAR AND ANXIETY
Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' (Isaiah 41:10 NKJV)
'Fear not' in today's scripture is one of the most repeated phrases in the Bible. Appearing more than 100 times in the King James Version of the Bible, the phrase is a constant reminder from God not to let fear consume us. This repetition is a testament to God's desire for us to live without fear, providing us with courage and peace.
Another deeply reassuring aspect in today's scripture is that God explicitly tells us why we shouldn't be afraid โ because He is with us. This divine presence is not just a mere accompaniment but a complete shield against any evil that may befall us. What does it mean for God to be with you in this era? If the Holy Ghost resides within you, then God is with you. So, if you have the Holy Ghost, you have no reason to fear anything or any power because the Lord is with you, ensuring your safety and protection.
Further, God commands that we shouldn't be dismayed because He is our God. The Hebrew word for 'dismayed' is 'ลกฤสฟรข', which means to be anxious. Thus, God provides a profound assurance to encourage us to go through life without anxiety.
Finally, God promises to strengthen, help, and uphold us with His righteous right hand. These promises are not just empty words but a profound assurance that empowers us to face life's challenges with unwavering confidence. They are a testament to God's steadfast support and commitment to seeing us through every situation.
Therefore, don't fear anything whatsoever or be dismayed, as the Lord your God is with you. He will help and uphold you with his righteous hand.
