A FORGOTTEN MESSAGE OF THE KINGDOM

And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the Kingdom of God!
And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God. (Mark 10:23-25)

Today's scripture contains a topic no longer discussed in the Christian community. In the passage, Jesus warned that it is difficult for rich people to enter the Kingdom. Is the statement shocking to you? Jesus' disciples were also astonished at the statement, today's passage states. Jesus asserted that it's hard for those who trust in riches to enter the Kingdom of God. He said it's easier for a caramel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom. What are the implications of the passage?
He didn't say rich people won't enter the Kingdom. Instead, he said it's difficult for them.
He emphasised that those who trust in riches will find it difficult to enter the Kingdom.
Riches are not the parameter for knowing a good Christian or a righteous person.
We must not trust in riches.
We must not see money as the ultimate in life.
If it's easier for a camel that is so big to pass through the eye of a tiny needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom, then it must be very hard for a rich person.
What should you do then? You must not see money as the ultimate in life. Your trust must be in God, not in money. It would also be best to recognise that selfish ambition is a sin.

Father, I ask for grace to put my trust in you in Jesus' name.

YOUR ROLE IN BRINGING GOD'S PROMISES IN YOUR LIFE TO PASS

And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. (Luke 1:45 KJV)

Have you ever considered you have a significant role in manifesting God's promises in your life? It's not just about waiting for God to act but about actively participating in His plan. When God gives a promise, He fulfils His part, but many don't realise they have a crucial role to play before the promises come to pass. In today's scripture, Elizabeth told the Virgin Mary that because she believed, there would be a performance of God's promises in her life. Let's examine the passage for a better understanding.

The Virgin Mary, as the name implied, was a virgin when God promised her she would conceive and deliver Jesus. Though she had never slept with a man, she believed it. Did you know that the Virgin wouldn't have conceived if she didn't believe? Today's scripture reveals there will be performance of God's promises to those who believe, meaning that God's promises won't manifest to someone who doesn't have faith.

Even though the promise defied natural law, as no virgin can naturally conceive, the Virgin Mary still believed it. Interestingly, many of God's promises defy natural laws because His power surpasses them. Therefore, you can trust in the validity of His promises in your life without questioning how they can come to fruition.

Has He promised you a marriage miracle this year? Or a healing or financial miracle? Is it a pregnancy miracle? Do the promises contradict natural laws? Are they humanly difficult? Don't worry again because God's powers are unlimited and surpasses natural laws. Hence, all His promises in your life will manifest if you believe. And if you genuinely believe, stop worrying! Cheer up and be expectant! God bless you!

PRAYER POINT
Father, help my unbelief in Jesus' name

DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES?

You are the God of miracles and wonders! You still demonstrate your awesome power. (Psalm 77:14 TLB)

I received an email from a lady asking me why I always discussed miracles. She said miracles are for baby Christians, claiming that mature Christians don't talk or seek miracles. Many Christians are in the same shoes as the lady. Such people deliberately abstain from seeking a miracle.

However, today's scripture tells us that God is the God of miracles and wonders, who still demonstrates His awesome power. If miracles are for baby Christians, does it mean that God performs miracles only for baby Christians, and when they become better Christians, God will no longer perform miracles in their lives? f miracles are for baby Christians, may I remain a baby Christian forever!

What is a miracle? A miracle is an extraordinary divine act that no natural or scientific laws can explain. It's God's supernatural act on earth to help someone in need. Does the Bible have records of miracles? Are baby Christians the ones who received miracles in the Bible?

The Bible, particularly the Four Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles, is a compilation of miracles. Jesus' birth, life on earth, and death were miracles. Since Jesus' birth, life, and death were miracles, every Christian should desire miracles, as no Christian is more mature than Jesus. I see those who don't believe in miracles as unbelievers.

Miracles remove struggles and make life easier on earth. But here's the key: to receive any miracle, you must desire it. Your desire is the catalyst that activates God's power in your life. So, please start desiring your desired miracles from now onwards. Don't wait for them to happen; actively seek them.

PRAYER POINT
The God of miracles and wonders, I thank you for being my Father.

THE BEST PET NAME A CHRISTIAN CAN CALL THE SPOUSE

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife;
And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. (Mark 10:7-8 KJV)

Everyone lives to be what you call them. Names are so important that God changed Abram's to Abraham before blessing him (Genesis 17:5). Hence, the names people call their spouses matter a lot. In some cases, the name a person calls the spouse may cause their marriage to break down.

Since everyone lives to become their name, the best thing is to identify what you want your spouse to become. So, what's the best quality a Christian spouse can have to guarantee happiness in marriage? To know the best quality, we must understand how God wants marriage to be.

Today's scripture says marriage makes a man and his wife one flesh, that is, the same, making it the closest relationship that exists. No matter how lovely your friends or siblings are, they cannot be one flesh with you.

Therefore, calling your spouse 'my flesh' will make them love you as they love themselves. It's almost impossible to call your spouse 'my flesh' and fail in marriage. Conversely, a person who calls their spouse sweetheart can still divorce because such pet names don't connote marriage.

For example, a sweetheart, which means someone a person has a romantic relationship with, is not an ideal pet name in marriage. Remarkably, romantic relationships are not guaranteed to last forever. People leave such relationships when they don't enjoy the romance or gain anything. So, anyone calling the spouse sweetheart reduces their one-flesh relationship to one that relies on romance. And when the spouse no longer enjoys the romance, they may leave.

I urge you to call your spouse 'one flesh' and truly become one flesh with them. Are you unmarried, do the same when you marry.

PRAYER POINT
Father, I ask for marital breakthrough in Jesus' name.

OVERCOMING FEAR AND ANXIETY

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' (Isaiah 41:10 NKJV)

'Fear not' in today's scripture is one of the most repeated phrases in the Bible. Appearing more than 100 times in the King James Version of the Bible, the phrase is a constant reminder from God not to let fear consume us. This repetition is a testament to God's desire for us to live without fear, providing us with courage and peace.

Another deeply reassuring aspect in today's scripture is that God explicitly tells us why we shouldn't be afraid โ€” because He is with us. This divine presence is not just a mere accompaniment but a complete shield against any evil that may befall us. What does it mean for God to be with you in this era? If the Holy Ghost resides within you, then God is with you. So, if you have the Holy Ghost, you have no reason to fear anything or any power because the Lord is with you, ensuring your safety and protection.

Further, God commands that we shouldn't be dismayed because He is our God. The Hebrew word for 'dismayed' is 'ลกฤสฟรข', which means to be anxious. Thus, God provides a profound assurance to encourage us to go through life without anxiety.

Finally, God promises to strengthen, help, and uphold us with His righteous right hand. These promises are not just empty words but a profound assurance that empowers us to face life's challenges with unwavering confidence. They are a testament to God's steadfast support and commitment to seeing us through every situation.

Therefore, don't fear anything whatsoever or be dismayed, as the Lord your God is with you. He will help and uphold you with his righteous hand.

PRAYER POINT
Father, thank you for assuring me you're with me.
