Last night, I had a great meeting with my elders at the Fayetteville church of Christ. We had dinner together and then a long chat about the building plans and work in Scotland. They had invited other congregations to attend, but none could make it. Instead, we had time to talk more.

It's the final week before I get back to Scotland. On Monday, I met with the Pelfreys and other members from the Fayetteville church of Christ who have visited Scotland in the past. We're planning an event for next summer. Some had left before I took the picture.

After a night in Huntsville, Alabama I met with Carl Powell for lunch. Carl helped with printing 3-D models of our building. We had a good visit before I set off for Atlanta. After crossing into Georgia, I ran into a terrible thunderstorm. Thankfully, I made it without any problems.

On Sunday morning, I was in Snellville, Georgia to give a report and preach at the morning worship. In April, I had met with Ted Helms, one of the elders, and he wanted me to come back in August to meet the church in Snellville and tell the story of how we got the land and our plans for the building. It was a great worship, a wonderful fellowship, and afterwards we had dinner together.

In the afternoon, I travelled to Morrow, Georgia to preach for the Forest Park church of Christ. This is a very special congregation with a great love for missions. They host an annual World Mission Forum in October. I delivered a lesson.

After evening worship, I drove to Fayetteville to have dinner with Dave & Joan Poskevich, their daughter-in-law, Carla, and other members from Fayetteville church of Christ, Wayne & Janis Libby, and Allene Scoma. It was a lovely evening of fellowship and friendship.

Polishing the Pulpit finished with a flourish meaning it was time to pack up and go. I had some help packing up the books and material. One of my neighbours at PTP, Chris Keith, from World Christian Radio, and Nathan Hampton joined me for lunch at Cracker Barrel.

I stopped at Athens, Tennessee to visit with Terry Stuart and two elders, James and Steve. We had a good visit in a local restaurant. Terry told me of a girl in the congregation who came to him with 15 cents for the Scottish Building Fund. They put it in a jar at the front door of the church building and have since added more than $2,000 to that 15 cents. Isn't it amazing what God can do with what seems so little to the rest of us?!

After Athens, I carried on to Huntsville to spend the night with the McRights and leave the audio/visual equipment and extra books for Adam when he comes over next month. I arrived before a massive thunderstorm hit the area bringing rain and flooding. Thankfully, we were safe and I rested well.

More friends, both old and new as Polishing the Pulpit continues. What an amazing event it is. I encourage everyone to make the effort to attend this event in Sevierville. I've not attended the newer Branson event, but I expect it to be every bit as uplifiting as here in Sevierville.

Tomorrow is the last day, then I'm heading to Athens, Tennessee and Huntsville, Alabama.
