Glasgow Central Mosque opened to the public in 1984 as the first purpose-built mosque in Glasgow. It works with other mosques throughout the city to help and represent Muslims from every background. As one of the most recognisable buildings in the city, it is visited by a large number of people, including the media, schools, colleges, universities and anyone wanting to learn more about Islam. week, thousands of Muslims pray, gain knowledge, get married or attend funeral prayers here, which makes it the focal point of their lives from beginning to end.

GCM - Marriage Workshop - Reminder

Glasgow Central Mosque will be delivering a comprehensive marriage workshop for singles and married couples delivered by Maulana Muhammad Vaez.

This workshop will take place on Saturday 13h June after the Zuhr Salah (2pm) in the Small Community Hall, In'sha'allah.

GCM - Qurbani distribution

Alhamdulillah over 600Kg was collected and distributed to Glasgow's most needy; including refugees, asylum seekers, and those in working poverty. Part of the meat was also cooked to provide meals for the homeless.

May Allah swt accept our Qurbani in its true spirit.

Shaykh will be participating in the Durood Sharif Majlis tomorrow, Thursday 4th June, after Maghrib (10.02pm) Insha’Allah.

GCM - Spiritual Retreat

The monthly Spiritual Retreat I’tikaf programme will continue in Glasgow Central Mosque from Sat 6th June (Asr 8pm) to Sun 7th June (Zuhr 2pm), In’sha’allah.

Come and invigorate your imaan by undertaking I’tikaf in the Masjid under the tutelage and supervision of the Imaams.

I’tikaf is “to confine oneself in a mosque for prayers, invocations and Ibadah, leaving the worldly activities for a limited number of days” and is a Sunnah of our beloved Prophet ﷺ.

A variety of spiritual and educational activities are to be undertaken:
Fiqh workshop
Quran Halaqa
Bayan
Individual and collective worship
1-to-1 with the Scholars and Imaams
Q&A

Strictly 13 years old and over (under 16 must be supervised by an adult).

Brothers only, Adults welcome.
