Girls’ Brigade Scotland has been going through a consultation process to consider the way forward and the Executive have decided that, from 1 June 2027, GB Scotland will join with GB England and Wales and the new organisation will be called Girls’ Brigade Great Britain. This will provide us with a larger, stronger organisation and new opportunities for shared resources and growth. Moving into this new chapter of Girls’ Brigade will help 1st Lenzie Company to flourish.😃
1st Lenzie will start back on Tuesday 25th August with an ‘art and nature’ programme. 🎨🌷🐝

We enjoyed our final GB event for the session with the closing parade and service. Thanks to Hugh for organising the parade and to Roberta for leading the service. The sun shone for our march to church and the pipe band were fantastic☀️The girls had fun in church singing their choruses with John - with their 'sunshine smiles'!

Please join us this week as we pray for The Church of Scotland General Assembly, a a significant
annual event in the Church of Scotland calendar. Commissioners examine the work and the laws of the Church and make decisions that affect its future.
🙏 Give thanks for the support and advocacy from of the outgoing Moderator of the General Assembly Rt Rev Rosie Frew.
🙏Pray for strength and wisdom for the incoming Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland
🙏 Pray for continuation and strengthening of relationships between Presbyteries, Churches and CrossReach.
🙏 We pray that the voice of the Church maybe used to speak up on behalf of people in Scotland who are struggling to meet their daily needs

It was our final Tuesday evening for this session at Girls’ Brigade last night and we had a summer picnic party in the hall. We played games and had some party food on our picnic blankets.
We are looking forward to our closing service and parade this Sunday.
