On Sunday 28th June, our dear sister Peggy Glass was called home to be with her Lord.

Peggy was a founding member of Zion Baptist Church and the beloved wife of Pastor Jack Glass. She was a wonderful example of Christian faithfulness—steadfast in her walk with the Lord, fearless in her defence of the cause of Christ, and generous in her love and service to others.

On that Sunday morning, as she had done faithfully for over 60 years, Peggy was in Zion worshipping with God’s people. The final hymn we sang was Love Divine, All Loves Excelling, with the words:

“Changed from glory into glory, till in heaven we take our place.”

Within an hour of singing those words, Peggy had indeed taken her place in heaven. Now, in the presence of her Saviour, she is truly lost in wonder, love, and praise.

We thank God for Peggy’s life, her faithful testimony, and the lasting legacy she leaves behind. She will be greatly missed, but we rejoice that she is now at home with Christ.
