CrimsonHeart Gaylin Downie is a local artist working in Cape Town, South Africa. Her work is colourful, unrefined, childlike and uplifting.

Her main art expression is prophetic art, which is a visual form of what God is communicating to person to encourage them and highlight aspects of who they are and what they are made for. Growing up Gaylin always enjoyed artwork, taking various art classes. But it was only in 2009 that she rediscovered her love for creativity and the power it has to speak. Since then Gaylin's love for art has take

n her to various nations, such as Cyprus, England and the USA. She regularly does live art, workshops and groups and has been doing commission work both locally and internationally. In 2012 she exhibited for the Resurrection Exhibition at the Castle of Good Hope. Gaylin currently works as a full time volunteer for Youth With A Mission and all proceeds from her artwork go towards the supporting her longterm work as a missionary.
