Our Nicky is specialling today at Maidstone Salvation Army.
Our prayers are with her as she leads the people of Maidstone in worship.

Today concludes Nicky’s specialling around the division before she enters training college in September. As part of her development plan, Nicky has been leading worship at different corps over the last two years to gain more experience of the different Salvation Army churches in the division.
We’re grateful to Lts Dave and Beth Perkins for giving her this opportunity today, and to all the other Corps officers in the division, and the Divisional Leaders, who have allowed her, and others in the division, leadership opportunities too.

The Holy Spirit was alive and kicking this morning at The Salvation Army Gillingham

We had a powerful time of worship where we were delighted to enrol Sarah as a Senior Soldier! In moving moments of commitment, covenant, and consecration Sarah signed her Soldiers Covenant with prayerful support from Dorothy, Nicky and the Corps Officer Steph. Following this, Mollie prayed a prayer of dedication over Sarah.

The power of the Spirit to transform was definitely seen at work this morning, and we give all glory to God.

Following the meeting we shared in a fellowship lunch, which was a celebration for Sarah, and the blessings of the Holy Spirit power at work in us and through us.

Today was our Enabled Church gathering here at The Salvation Army Gillingham

With nearly 40 people today, we had the biggest number of people come along and share in an amazing and powerful time together as we looked at the story of Daniel and the Lions Den.

The singing was awesome, heartfelt and extremely moving as we lifted out voices in worship. The interactive scripture reading had some questionable acting from Lieutenant Martyn, but everyone else were spot on!!

Our lunch time was a beautiful fellowship around the table.

Everyone was so responsive as we considered what it means for each of us to trust God when we are afraid or anxious.

We then listened to a beautiful testimony and then a rap from Tony, who spoke about how he was bullied when he was younger, but through Jesus found the courage to trust in God and that is how he discovered this God loves him, and that God loves everyone. The rap was fantastic.

After Tony spoke, we had an impromptu chorus of Yes Jesus love me. It was so powerful to hear our Enabled family sing their testimony in that way.

Before we finished, Andy marked that it was Stephanie and Martyn's last Enabled. In the moments that followed there was such a beautiful time where the whole Enabled Family prayed over Steph and Martyn, asking for God's help and protection as they prepare to move to Hove.

Enabled is back in July, so watch out for information about that!!!
