Restore - Filey

It’s always wonderful to have children with us at Restore Filey Community Church. They are so precious and valuable.

The 7 weeks have come to an end and with this in mind we want to wish a big warm cheer for all the children going back to school - you have got this! May God’s blessing rest on you as you walk into your classrooms, filling you with confidence, joy and a heart to learn new things. May His light shine through everything you do, and may you know how deeply loved, valued, and capable you all are.

We think about the teachers too. Bless them with patience, creativity and strength for each new day.

A great service this morning at Gristhorpe & Lebberston Village Hall, where Tim spoke about Jesus leaving the 99 sheep and going after the one that was lost. Showing a video of a bit of our history, and memories of events we have had, Tim spoke about the values we have as a church. Just as Jesus is our Good Shepherd, always concerned about one person who needed Him rather than large numbers, so our church, as part of His family, seek to value every person who walks through our doors, or meets us outside the church. Every individual is valued by God.
It was lovely to have people visiting our church today, and we hope each person felt at home x

Live Wires is back on the Tuesday 1st September. If you have not been before please come and try it out. Still the school holidays so come along and have some fun. Please let us know, so we can plan for food. Any questions please contact us. Excited to be back 😁

This Sunday we have a shorter testimony service at Gristhorpe Village Hall. Please note we start at the earlier time of 9.30am. There will be no planned children’s group but colouring activities will be available. See you there 😊

Before and after our service tomorrow there will be a small pop up shop available. All proceeds will go to funding our Live Wires young people’s group. We are unable to accept card payments so please bring cash if you wish to support 🙏🏻
