Today a service was held for the baptism of Rosie Susan Wilson, daughter of Amy and Jonny Wilson from Australia, granddaughter of Richard Harkness We were delighted to welcome all the family members, especially those who travelled.

It was wonderful to see so many at our service this morning and welcome our GFS and their families. The girls sang a beautiful piece and did the readings and prayers. Rev Denise reminded us of the ingredients we needed to build and maintain our church. Everyone was in fine voice singing the meaningful hymns and choruses. A cup of tea and delicious bakes were enjoyed by many after the service.
The occasion was tinged with sadness as Eileen is stepping back from being a leader of the GFS after 40 remarkable years of service. The church wardens presented her with a gift and thanked her for her dedication and commitment to the GFS. She will be greatly missed by all, especially the girls.
We wish her well in whatever lies ahead for her and hope she enjoys her well deserved rest.

There is a special GFS service this Sunday, 17th May at 11.30am. We are looking forward to welcoming our GFS members, their families and our own church family. There will be a cup of tea after the service.
