Ever notice how water changes your breathing, your thoughts, your pace?

Here's Devenish Island, a monastic site on Lough Erne, founded by St Molaise in the 6th century. For centuries, people have come here for peace, prayer and quiet reflection.

And the journey is part of the magic. Devenish Island is surrounded by water and reached only by boat, so the slowing down begins before you even arrive.

Another beautiful watercolour by Timmy Mallett, capturing the quiet beauty of Lough Macnean.

Just a short distance away lies Templerushin Church and Holy Well, one of the peaceful stopping points on the Lough Erne Pilgrim Way.

It is a landscape shaped by water, devotion, and centuries of local story.

Discover more about Templerushin here:

The loughs of Ireland inspire our dreams. Lough macNean straddles the border and focuses our soul.

This original watercolour painted from the lonely lane up to the caves is full of the ever present wind bush.

It's available now mounted and delighted to grace your wall. Ihave also made a few exclusive limited prints available.

Isn't this a gorgeous watercolour of Devenish Island on our Lough Erne Pilgrim Way?

Thank you to Mallet for coming for a wee visit!

The mysterious Devenish island is a place of pilgrimage and exploration on lower lough Erne Fermanagh.

I love the enigmatic round tower and Celtic cross and the ruins of the ancient monastery that once flourished here.

On a moody spring day the subjects come together in my Original watercolour painted on location.

I'm also making a few limited prints available

Happy Easter from the Lough Erne Pilgrim Way ๐ŸŒŠ

Legend tells us that on Easter morning the stone cross on Inishmacsaint turns three times to mark the day. With Storm Dave sweeping across the lough overnight, it seems this year the cross may have turned quietly, with only the wind and water to witness it.

Seen or unseen, the tradition lives on.

May your Easter be calm, bright and full of good stories.
