The Scottish Country Dancing Class meets every Tuesday evening in the Anderson Hall, Liberton Kirk Centre, from 8.10 p.m. – 9.45 p.m. The new session begins on Tuesday 6th October and classes run until the end of March. We learn some new dances but we also enjoy some of the old favourites. The subscription for the whole session is £38 or £3 per evening.
We would be delighted to welcome new members to join our group. This class is not for complete beginners. However, don’t worry if you haven’t danced for a while or if you are not very experienced – the class is very informal and we all help one another. The most important thing is that we enjoy ourselves, while giving our bodies (and our brains!) a bit of a workout.

Sandy Sneddon was a United Mission to Nepal board member for eight years. He visited Nepal several times and has been in contact with UMN following the devastating landslides and floods that hit on 26 August.

UMN specifically ask for prayer for the following at this time:
• for those who are still looking for missing relatives or who have lost family members.
• for the rescue workers, and for those who are seeking to bring immediate relief.
• for the church in Nepal as it seeks to represent Christ in the chaos.
• that these communities will not be forgotten as they will need many years of support to rebuild their lives.

Please remember this in your personal and family prayers, at prayer meetings, and in worship in the days ahead.
