A+E's summer exhibition opened today. Showing work by David Faithfull, comprising his Avian Ark floor based sculptural installation and Alchemical Aviary drawings and bookwork; a 1000 crane kinetic sculpture designed and assembled by Jane Dickinson and Kate Hajducka, with friends from Coburg House Studios; an outdoor installation of pre-memorial benches by Ollie Howell, Jaaziel and Joe Simms; and artifacts from A+E's Active Travel, Active Hope event, including banners made by Sarah Gittins and Jonathan Baxter, pennants made by community participants and a film of the event made by Lilly Sedaghat and Cory Howell. Each work has it's own focus and intention but together they draw attention to our collective vulnerability - both human and more-than-human - and the acts of care and attention that may yet transform our current situation into a more just and flourishing world.

Join us on 22nd and/or 23rd Aug for the second Traquair Dialogue, this time celebrating and engaging David Gee's posthumous publication Wildest Dream: An imagined history of the Green Man (Ember Press: 2025). A public dialogue and a walk. Or as David wrote: 'This is, I suppose, an activist's prayer. May the green spill into our lives and burst out again in a hundred thousand practices of vitality, attention, and care.' This is one of them.
