Next week at the Last Saturday demonstration in Dungannon our Junior Lodge members will be in the field and along the parade route with buckets collecting money in aid of our Junior Lodge whilst also supporting the Black District raising funds for the capital works programme in Lord Northland Memorial Park.

Our Brethren will be wearing their Orange Collarettes, so when you see them please dig deep and donate what you can. Thank you in advance for supporting and strengthening our Junior Lodge in Killyman District.

🧡 International Youth Day 🧡

Today we recognise the important contribution made by the young men and women of the Orange family.

It’s fantastic to see our Junior Lodges continuing to grow, with young people getting involved, making friends and developing the confidence and skills that will serve them well in the years ahead.

A special thank you also goes to the many volunteers who give their time to provide leadership, encouragement and support. Their commitment makes such a difference.

Some of our pupils, past and present have been very busy, having recently completed a five-day trip to the Somme.

Pictured at Dunkirk Beach are Grace Parr, Zara Holdsworth, Megan Watt and Alfie Espie.

During their trip, the pupils visited numerous military cemeteries, memorials and towers, learning more about the history and sacrifices of those who served.

The overall highlight of the trip was undoubtedly attending and playing at the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres a truly special and memorable experience for everyone involved.

This morning at Poelcappele British Cemetery Bro Jack McFarland laid a Poppy Cross in memory of all the fallen. One of the graves was Private John Condons just aged 14 when he died.

Congratulations and Well Done to our young Brothers from Mourne JLOL 54 👏

On Wednesday 8th July a young lady took unwell and collapsed near to Kilkeel Beach.

These 6 young lads, 5 of which are members of Mourne Junior Orange Lodge, reacted quickly - with one phoning 999, two running to the Hartlain Hub on the Harbour Road to get a Defibrillator, while the rest helped to reassure her, and held their jackets over the lady to protect her from the extreme heat - Until the paramedics arrived.

As a district we are EXTREMELY PROUD of them ALL. In the words of the young ladies mother "they are a credit to themselves and their families" - A statement we fully agree with.

We’ve had an incredible year within the Junior Lodge which ended with a fabulous day in Cookstown on the 12th. Now is your time to be part of it.

Our new year will start in September and we are recruiting new members. If you are aged between 6 and 16 come along and enjoy everything the Junior lodge has to offer.

Orangeism is thriving across the island of Ireland and particularly in Tyrone. Now is your time to join!
