10th Dundee Girls' Brigade

The 10th Dundee Girls' Brigade held their final service on Sunday 21st Jan which included the Laying up of the company colours. This was also a service of thanksgiving for all who have supported the company over the years recognising the many girls and leaders who have been members.

We are thankful for all the support from girls’ families, Tayside division and the Session and Congregation of Dundee West Church over the many successful years of the company.

Although the company has now closed due to small numbers of girls, we are delighted that all of the girls and most of the leaders have moved to other GB companies within Tayside division and continue to be involved in GB.

This Sunday (21st Jan) we will hold the final service of celebration for the 10th Dundee Girls' Brigade Company and lay up the colours.

The service will be at 11am at Dundee West Church, 132 Perth Road, Dundee, DD1 4JW. Tea and Coffee will be provided after the service. Free parking is available on the street around the church until 1pm. Parking in the car park opposite the church is chargeable.

All are welcome, please pass on this information to anyone who may be interested.

We send our deepest condolences to Our new King and the Queen Consort, our former Patron, and all Royal family members on the passing of her majesty the queen.

We give thanks to her majesty for a life service. May she rest in eternal Peace.

We got into the Christmas spirit last night by heading along to the West End Christmas Fortnight light switch on after making some Christmas cards for others in our community. We even got to meet Santa! 😃

Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday for even more Christmas fun when we head to the Pantomime at the Gardyne theatre. We are meeting outside at 1.30pm - remember to bring a snack!

It was great to see all the girls and their families for our enrolment service on Sunday! The girls all did a great job taking part in the service 😊

Reminder, that this Thursday we will be heading out on a little adventure so bring plenty clothing to wrap up warm!

We had great fun last Thursday celebrating Fireworks night a bit early with sparklers and making our own fireworks and edible sparklers! 🎉🥳

Looking forward to even more fun activities tomorrow night! We will have a visitor tomorrow night so it would be great if the girls could wear their GB jumpers 😊
