Hello everyone! 😊

I hope this message finds you well! We are back to meeting up with people, encouraging men, and serving in youth outreach around Dundee. It’s always a blessing to be able to be serving in these ways.

Over the past few months, I’ve faced personal challenges that have led me to feel God calling me to slow down a bit. I’m focusing on Him, acknowledging my own shortcomings, and trying to keep things simple. In this spirit, that’s exactly what we will be doing as a family and a team.

🙏🏻 We’ve been dedicating more time to prayer and praise, listening to one another, and diving into John's Gospel together. It has been an encouraging time, and I’d love to extend this opportunity to others.

Whether you already meet up with us regularly havent before, if you or someone you know would benefit from some time together - whether that’s listening, praying, or working through a book of the Bible - please don’t hesitate to reach out. Myself, Josh, and Ariyel are all excited to make time for this as a priority in our lives and work.

Let’s continue to grow together in faith community and love!

God bless you all.

Wee message I put on our men’s discipleship challenge today -

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well as we approach the halfway point of Week 1 in our journey together. It’s encouraging to share physical challenges and support one another, but what truly excites me is the deeper connection we are cultivating in our daily walks with God.

One essential practice I’ve found invaluable is carving out a quiet time each day - a space dedicated to just me and God. I try to find a comfortable spot where distractions are minimal, which can be a bit of a challenge with little ones running around! Nevertheless, I set aside this intentional time to read the Bible and pray.

Reflecting on Jesus, even He recognised the importance of solitude and prayer. Luke 5:16 tells us that He regularly withdrew to desolate places to pray. If the Son of God felt the need for this, how much more do we! Each day, I aim for about 30 minutes of quiet time, but honestly, the duration isn't as important as the intention behind it. What matters is having enough time to talk to God, reflect on His greatness, meditate on Scripture, and listen to where He might be guiding me that day and beyond.

As we look toward Christmas, it’s a truly wonderful opportunity to ponder the depth of His love - the God who would come down to us, die for us, and save us. Rather than the emphasis on emptying oneself, as many other religions promote, our faith encourages us to fill ourselves with the richness of Jesus. What a life-changing perspective!

I encourage each of you to find a space today for your own quiet time with God. Even if it’s just a few moments, creating that opportunity can be incredibly rewarding. Let’s take a moment to reflect on God’s goodness, the message of hope we prepare to celebrate, and how He is moving in our lives.

And maybe share how you find it. Looking forward to hearing from you all! God bless. 🙏🏻😀

🔥 Exciting news, everyone! A brand new 2 week men's discipleship challenge is set to kick off soon, and we want YOU to be part of it!

🏃‍♂️ This challenge is designed as a daily personal commitment, adaptable to each individual's unique circumstances. We understand that life can get busy with work, family, and other responsibilities, and everyone faces different challenges along their journey. That’s why this program is flexible and supportive, allowing each participant to engage at their own pace.

🧐 Imagine joining a community of men who are eager to deepen their relationship with God and cultivate healthier spiritual habits. This challenge isn’t just about personal growth, it’s about connection, friendship and accountability as we navigate life’s complexities together. We won’t put any pressure on you, but you’ll find plenty of motivation, encouragement, and a supportive space to help strengthen you.

🙏🏻 Proverbs 27:7 reminds us: "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." This is a powerful truth that we want to embrace as we embark on our faith journey together. Over the years, I've seen firsthand how impactful it can be to share our experiences, challenges, and victories with one another. A small group of men from all across Tayside and beyond will be participating.

❤️ Whether you’re just starting your faith journey or have been walking this path for years, this challenge is open to everyone. We welcome new Christians and seasoned believers alike! Each day of the challenge will present an opportunity for growth, reflection, and connection with God and fellow participants.

🗓️ Mark your calendars—this Men’s Discipleship Challenge will run from Monday, December 9th, to Saturday, December 21st. We’re looking forward to seeing the transformation that can happen when men commit to growing together in faith and strength.

📞 Now, we're calling on all of you! If you’re interested in joining or have any questions, please comment below or send me a message. Share this post with someone who might want to be part of this journey. Let’s create a buzz and encourage one another!

Take a moment to reflect on what this challenge could mean for you personally. What areas do you want to grow in? What support do you need from your fellow brothers in Christ? I would love to hear your thoughts and stories in the comments!

Join us as we take this incredible journey together, drawing closer to God and each other. Soli Deo Gloria!

🌲 Let’s lift each other up and see what amazing things God has in store for us during these weeks. Get ready to grow, connect, and strengthen your faith!
God bless,

Sam 😀

In our morning meeting and bible study we spent some time looking at how we can follow God’s will in our lives, a topic that can often seem daunting, especially with the amount of choices we have the opportunity to make in our lives.

However, we can be reassured that God doesn’t leave us in the dark and points us toward how we can live our lives in the light of the gospel. One example is found in the Luke 22 where Jesus cries out to God to take away the humiliation of the cross, if it is possible. However, Jesus is wholly committed to God’s will, ending his prayer by saying “Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done”, exemplifying how we can also commit our lives to God’s directing. This can be challenging in the face of different comforts and dreams that we might want to pursue instead of God’s will, but we can be assured that the direction God gives is for our good, and for his glory.

🌟 Navs Night Recap: "Knowing God" 🌟

This week, we tackled some thought-provoking questions about what it *truly* means to know God. Together, we explored questions like:

• What does it mean to know God, and do we believe we truly know Him?

• How much of a priority is knowing God in our lives, and how does it shape our perspectives?

• What view of God do we hold in our hearts—do we see Him as loving, powerful, distant, or gracious?

Our conversations were challenging yet inspiring, pushing us to reflect deeply on our relationship with God and how it influences our daily lives. We realized that knowing God isn’t just a concept; it’s an active journey that impacts every area of who we are.

As we continue to walk together on this journey, let’s keep challenging ourselves to know Him more fully and share His love with those around us. 🙏✨

If you're interested in joining us, we meet on Monday nights at 7:30 pm for some worship, fellowship and Bible study. Feel free to message us for the address!

🧐 Have you ever paused to consider one of the most important questions in life: Who is Jesus? It’s a question that transcends time and culture, one we believe demands an answer from each of us. Or at least some consideration!

🗓️ Each Tuesday morning, we invite you to join us for basic apologetics training, where we’ll not only dive deep into question like this but also spend time chatting, praying, and worshiping together.

Our initial session sparked a deep and fun discussion around an interesting thought: Can Jesus merely be seen as a good moral teacher when He explicitly claims to be Lord? The challenge we posed was simple yet profound: when confronting Jesus’ identity, we are presented with three potential conclusions: He is either a liar, a lunatic, or He is truly the Lord who lived, died, and rose again—and who currently reigns in heaven with the promise to return. Have you ever grappled with this question yourself?

😎 At Dundee Navs, we firmly believe that Jesus is God, and we find this particular inquiry to be the most significant one we can engage with in our lives and to help others consider. The ramifications of answering this question are profound and beautiful; they shape our understanding of purpose, morality, and hope.

🙏🏻 In Matthew 8:27, we find a significant moment where Jesus asks His disciples, “Who do people say that I am?” Responses varied, but then He turns the question inward: “But who do you say that I am?” This personal challenge echoes today. Jesus invites each of us to confront our beliefs, and it’s a conversation that can lead to a deeper understanding and relationship with Him.

🧭 Whether you’re seasoned in your faith or exploring Christianity for the first time, we welcome you to join us.

If this resonates with you, please get in touch. We’d love to have you join us on this journey of exploration and discovery! Either in our small group or we can meet one to one for a coffee. ❤️
-Sam.
